It's still a good joke, just wanted to point out that RiD Prime IS g1 Prime in Japan and so is covered. End nerdery...--76.28.76.206 07:12, 27 April 2012 (EDT)

Fire Convoy is not G1 Convoy. —Interrobang 07:14, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
You sure? I thought the whole point of retconning Car Robots into G1 in Japan was that everyone was their G1 selves. If he's is a different bot though, that DOES also explain why he's not on the Satallite, as folks who aren't Prime but are named Convoy are a dollar a dozen in Japan and the display seems to be just for "Optimus Prime"s. --76.28.76.206 08:10, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
No, he's a different guy from the future. - Chris McFeely 08:29, 27 April 2012 (EDT)

How many?

[edit]

Seriously, how many of these guys are there? Do we have all of them yet? Do we even have most of them? Is there any way of knowing, short of walking through EVERY town in Japan? --Khajidha 09:36, 27 April 2012 (EDT)

14, I guess. —Interrobang 09:39, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
So, 2 to go... --76.28.76.206 10:41, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
Guess that's all of 'em then. Now we wait and see what becomes of this.--Carrion 17:03, 2 May 2012 (EDT)

NEW PICS! Of all these Primes!

[edit]

New, clearer, full-body pics of all these Primes up on Tformers:

http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=18023

Now if someone can just photoshop them apart for each page. Apparently there's some "collect stickers of them all at each location" promotion going on in Japan now. --76.28.76.206 14:03, 2 August 2012 (EDT)

No Second Series?

[edit]

So there's been no word of a second series of these since the last one popped up Six months ago now. I did a web search quick and could find no indication there were more or the promotion was ongoing in any way. So.... Could he have been maybe just a last late gasp of the first series and not the start of another? --ZacWilliam 15:39, 1 May 2013 (EDT)

I'd been starting to think that. - Chris McFeely 18:34, 1 May 2013 (EDT)
Well, I just found on TFW a link to a new one. - User:Escargon
Ha, yeah I just saw on Alspark. It figures, no news for six months and the day I bring it up, boom, instantainious news. :) I'm ok with that though as I really love these werid little guys so the more the better. --ZacWilliam 19:20, 1 May 2013 (EDT)

Links to one we don't have are now in our Allspark thread because of spam-filtering. --Monzo 19:22, 1 May 2013 (EDT)

I see Takara have updated their website with a new list for the Satellite in 2013. Some locations are the same as last year, so I imagine they won't be marked by a new Prime, but all the new cities so far are on there too, so there's definitely more to come (looks like a Chiyoda Prime and an Osaka Prime, if I'm reading it right). - Chris McFeely 10:09, 2 May 2013 (EDT)

Those are for Akiba and Umeda, respectively, I think. (The first column contains the stores and their locations.) Mimi 10:32, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
Oh, well then, maybe that's it for new guys! - Chris McFeely 10:51, 2 May 2013 (EDT)

Town Commanders category?

[edit]

Should we have one? There seems to be more than enough characters to warrant it. Mimi 06:36, 2 May 2013 (EDT)

Technically they're a big enough group to deserve a category, but they're also all listed on this page already, which makes a category somewhat redundant. -LV 10:53, 2 May 2013 (EDT)

Continuity family

[edit]

Was there actually anything establishing the Town Commanders as Aligned? Because the recent Yokohama comic that features a couple of them is pretty firmly G1. Mimi (talk) 16:06, 15 August 2014 (EDT)

I'm pretty sure it was just a result of the mentality that every new thing Hasbro or Takara produced was instantly Aligned, which is why we had things like Bot Shots on Aligned pages when they had nothing to do with it. I'd put them in G1. Escargon (talk) 16:08, 15 August 2014 (EDT)
Well, the Ask Vector Prime Facebook page says otherwise. Zakor1138 (talk) 17:15, 16 January 2016 (EST)
For one version of Akiba Prime. Why can't the Cybertron Satellite Primes be trans-cluster? Heck, it occurred to me that the "Yokohama Decepticon Secret Base" comic might depict an Iocus reality in the vein of the Legends comic. Wouldn't that explain a lot of things? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 17:27, 16 January 2016 (EST)
As I really feel I pointed out somewhere else, the "Secret Base" comics features G1 characters, BW Characters, MOVIE characters, and Town Commanders all existing in the same space without logic or explanation. It's not "firmly G1" at all. Now that we have Iocus, which we didn't back when I remember saying that, it's totally an Iocus. - Chris McFeely (talk) 17:31, 16 January 2016 (EST)
So, should the Town Commanders be classified as Aligned again? Zakor1138 (talk) 17:33, 16 January 2016 (EST)
I would think both G1 and Aligned since Safety Prime did appear in Mission: GT-R. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 18:26, 16 January 2016 (EST)
Is there a source for Safety Prime being said to be a Town Commander? --Sabrblade (talk) 23:31, 16 January 2016 (EST)
Yeah, that might have been just putting two-and-two together and being wrong. - Chris McFeely (talk) 06:30, 17 January 2016 (EST)

Is there anything other than AVP that actually says they're Aligned? Saix (talk) 23:52, 16 January 2016 (EST)

Is there anything other than AVP that actually says they're any family? I find the whole thing confusing. --Giggidy (talk) 23:59, 16 January 2016 (EST)
Well a Cybertron Satellite point appeared in the Go! cartoon. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 00:40, 17 January 2016 (EST)
That was just a bit of product placement. --Sabrblade (talk) 06:25, 17 January 2016 (EST)
True, I suppose. Though there's also From the Cybertron Satellite, Transformers Division, the add-on segments to the Japanese broadcast of Prime.
Could it instead just be that not all of them are from the same continuity family? Like, Akiba is Uniend, but others might not be? Their whole group could just be an Iocus-like gathering. --Sabrblade (talk) 20:23, 17 January 2016 (EST)
Wasn't there an Ask Vector Prime where he mentions the Satellite Primes (plural) were from a Uniend stream? Zakor1138 (talk) 16:34, 18 January 2016 (EST)
Wait, found it. Source:Ask Vector Prime/Facebook#May 15, 2015 Zakor1138 (talk) 16:35, 18 January 2016 (EST)
