We get some leeway with the Japanese songs, because we provide a translation for comparison/analysis purposes and because nobody in Japan particularly cares about an English wiki, but full-blown reproduction of lyrics without any sort of commentary or permission is prohibited by US copyright law. —Interrobang 20:03, 24 October 2010 (EDT)

I'm really, really inclined to say "I don't give a toss". - Chris McFeely 20:04, 24 October 2010 (EDT)
Since legally, they would be required to send a request for the lyrics to be taken down before taking action, I'd say leave them up. For one thing, there's an argument that a very large portion of the images or pages on this wiki could be illegal. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.25.102.205 (talkcontribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}. 22:03, 24 October 2010 (EDT)
Given that there's a TON of websites out there that post lyrics in full, I don't think it's too likely any such requests will be sent our way. So I'm also inclined to say "I don't give a toss". --Tigerpaw28 23:11, 24 October 2010 (EDT)
I'm with Chris as well. --Detour 23:14, 24 October 2010 (EDT)
I'd like to leave them up, but I'd prefer if we could do so without running the risk of legal action (however small that might be). Could we put them on a source page? I'm pretty sure we've got some instances on various pages of analysis, criticism or correction of the lyrics that could justify having them available. --Khajidha 08:45, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
