Talk:Deployer (WFC)

The article has awkwardly merged the two different things called Deployers in Aligned into one and I'm not sure it should have done so. A separate Deployer (RID) strikes me as better. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 00:40, 6 April 2016 (EDT)
- I want to reiterate the above. I mean, this articles starts off with "Deployers are Transformers that have chosen to form a partnership with one or more Mini-Cons." Got that, Deployers are the big guys! Then the very next sentence says "Instead of transforming into vehicles or machinery, Mini-Con Deployers instead become additional armor or accessories for their bulk partners" Got that, Deployers are the little guys! And I think this a different situation from Headmasters or Targetmasters, where the term was being applied to both the main guy and the partner from the start, because this was a change in usage between Aligned "franchises." Deployer meant on thing in WFC/Prime stuff, then Hasbro used it for something else in RID. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 06:50, 28 April 2016 (EDT)
- Ehhhn... it strikes me as a little silly to make a separate page for the same overall concept but with a switch in which actual component is called the "deployer". Funamentally, they're the same thing. Wouldn't it be simpler to rewrite the opening paragraph to clarify that "sometimes, "deployer" refers to the larger Transformer, while other times it refers to their Mini-Con partner"? --Riptide (talk) 08:31, 28 April 2016 (EDT)
