- The timestamps from typing ~~~~ are entered as plain text - by doing that, you're effectively typing a date/time. Whereas the timestamps on Recent Changes/etc are dynamically generated every time you refresh. - Mammalian Verisimilitude 22:12, 20 August 2012 (EDT)
