How Megatron Knew

[edit]

"Megatron only learned about "Agent 113" on that day and was startled to find out. He knew enough about the former Vos's real body to work out "113" was him and why that codename, surprising Ultra Magnus."

Okay, does anyone else feel this is a rather large leap to make? It's not said or implied anywhere in the comics, and I think Dominus would have wanted to his true identity as a loadbearer even more of a secret than Magnus did. If Megatron knew that about Vos's real body, why wouldn't he also know that he was the famed Autobot Dominus Ambus (which sure seems like something that would have got Dominus executed immediately), and therefore have said something to Rewind or Magnus? If no one has any problems, this really should be edited out. --Sockie (talk) 14:23, 4 June 2016 (EDT)

"Vos's real body" isn't the implication of that scene. While Dominus Ambus apparently disguised his true nature as a beast-former using loadbearer bodies, Agent 113 retained prominent claws and animal-like traits, indicating Dominus used loadbearer bodies as Vos that were more in line with his innermost form. In other words, Dominus Ambus turned into a turbofox -- Vos used loadbearing to turn into a GIANT turbofox. And a turbofox is #0113 in the Grand Cybertronian Taxonomy. So, upon hearing Agent 113's codename was probably significant, Megatron recalled the Taxonomy and made the connection between Agent 113 and the turbofox member of the DJD...Vos. That line of reasoning has nothing to do with Vos also being Dominus Ambus or a loadbearer. --Xaaron (talk) 15:10, 6 June 2016 (EDT)
......Except we know he took the bigger body to NOT LOOK LIKE HE TURNED INTO A TURBOFOX. And we've seen concept art of the 113 design, he turns into a spikier version of BM Scavenger's mode. Escargon (talk) 15:15, 6 June 2016 (EDT)

Dominus hid his true alt mode. "Vos" I haven't heard anything about. Do you have a link to this concept art? --Xaaron (talk) 15:22, 6 June 2016 (EDT)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XGENt3QwZw&t=620 Characters even described Agent 113's "claws" as hooks, suggesting that he really wasn't seen as animalistic. --Sockie (talk) 15:30, 6 June 2016 (EDT)
And once again, I am punished for just reading the comics and not hunting down tweets and limited audience info on the internet. Alas. --Xaaron (talk) 16:13, 6 June 2016 (EDT)
