Possible Basis?

[edit]

It may be too early to tell, but I feel they may or may not be based on [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Wuxing (Chinese philosophy)|{{#if:5 agents|5 agents|Wuxing (Chinese philosophy)}}]] from China, that I think have also been seen in Japanese media. Doesn't help that they say there are 5 elements, and the usage of a nature element alongside fire, water and earth makes me think of the Fuwa from Beijing 2008 (who are based on that principle among other things).Poliwag06 (talk) 21:33, 18 March 2025 (EDT)

I considered this, but nature (自然) and thunder (雷) don't really match up. The kanji used are 炎, 水, 大地, 自然, and 雷, which do not match up with wuxing (火, 水, 土, 木, 金) or godai (火, 水, 地, 風, 空). Saix (talk) 23:55, 18 March 2025 (EDT)
Nature could be a stand in for Wood for sure, but Thunder is weird. Interestingly, I decided to look up the elements of the Beyblade: Zero-G series (since I remembered those exist and they're made by the same company), and what do you know, they have a "Sky" element and the insignia is a thunderbolt with 空 in the foreground, so perhaps that's why we have Thunder here. Essentially, they combined both elemental systems into one, which admitedly feels genius.Poliwag06 (talk) 02:21, 20 March 2025 (EDT)
