Talk:Emperor of Destruction
Overlord
[edit]Deathsaurus' Japanese profile reads: "Succeeded Overlord as the fifth Destron Leader." So would that imply that Overlord was an Emperor of Destruction, if only for a short time? --DrSpengler 18:37, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
BW Megatron
[edit]Got a question. Was Megatron (BW) ever referred to as an Emperor of Destruction, perhaps in his Japanese tech spec or something? I only have a few episodes on tape in Japanese and none of them make a reference to Emperor of Destruction. I know that wouldn't gel with Galvatron being the Emperor at the same time, but Megatron was a rebel so it's possible he just self-titled himself. --DrSpengler 04:11, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
BW Megatron could have earned the title later, such as when he was in control of all of Cyberton in Beast Machines. - Ithekro
I haven't managed to see much of Beast Wars Returns, I'll have to see if I can find some packaging pics or something, but that's a good possibility. --DrSpengler 04:42, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Here's a list I just put together, Speng. These all come from the Japanese tech specs.
- G1 Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- G1 Galvatron: Fortress Staff Officer (or Fortress Officer; compare Ultra Magnus's "City Commander").
- Super Hybrid Model Galvatron says he's a "New Emperor of Destruction" --Thylacine 2000 15:45, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- G1 Megazarak: Emperor of Fear.
- Blood: Destruction Commander (or Commander of Destruction; compare Metalhawk's "Space Commander").
- Overlord: Ambassador of Destruction.
- Black Zarak: Emperor of Darkness.
- Deathsaurus: Emperor of Destruction.
- Metrotitan: Destron Commander.
- G2 Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- BW Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Megalligator: Amazon Soldier.
- Megastorm: Duke of Destruction.
- BW Galvatron: New Emperor Of Destruction (the "new" seems to be part of his actual title, although whether if it means he took over from Megatron or not I dunno).
- Gigastorm: Grand Duke of Destruction.
- Magmatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Metals Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Metals Dragon Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Gigatron: Dark God of Destruction.
- Devil Gigatron: Ultimate God of Destruction.
- Armada Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Armada Galvatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Armada Unicron: Emperor of Stars.
- Energon Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Energon Megazarak: Destruction Commander (or Commander of Destruction).
- Energon Galvatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Cybertron Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Beast Megatron: Emperor of Destruction.
- Rebirth Megatron: Dark Emperor of Destruction.
- Unfortunately, I don't have Cyb Galvatron's function, as the Japanese TS archive hasn't updated since before the end of Galaxy Force. --Monzo 00:10, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry to bump this, but which versions are the last two (Beast & Rebirth Megatron)? Are they RM and Beast Wars Reborn? Also, do either of the Beast Wars Returns Megatrons have titles? --FortMax 18:42, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Beast Megatron and Rebirth Megatron are Robot Masters characters. Beast Megatron is considered to be a time-traveling Beast Wars Megatron, and Rebirth Megatron is Reverse Convoy.--Rosicrucian 02:42, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Starscream
[edit]Shouldn't Starscream be included among the Emperors of Destruction? I mean, while I haven't seen the Transformers movie, I know that most of his reign was the length of his own coronation, but he is counted among the Decepticon leaders. -- SFH 15:23, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's fair to say that in the context of the Japanese fiction that is Likely what he was crowning himself, but with out an explicit statement it's probably too speculative to be included in the wiki.--ZacWilliam 15:39, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- As the list above proves, not every Deception leader is an "Emperor of Destruction". Interrobang 02:21, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- It's been a while, but I can break out my copy of the Movie in Japanese and fastforward to the cornonation scene. Maybe he says something like "As the new Emperor of the Destruction, I-" I doubt it, but I'll check it out. --DrSpengler 19:48, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Gnashteeth
[edit]"Gnashteeth (ナッシュティース) is the God of Destruction of the Destrons" Is that a title?
Dark Nova & Master Galvatron
[edit]I found this title for Dark Nova - 大帝王. It seems to be "Ultimate Emperor". Also, the Japanese tech spec archive has updated with Cybertron Galvatron/Master Galvatron's title - 真破壊大帝. This seems to be "True Emperor of Destruction". Before I add them, I'd like some comments on the accuracy of translation... TX55? --Monzo 11:21, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Oops, sorry for the late to see the message. The term "大帝王" should be "Great (or Grand) Emperor". "Ultimate" is for "究極". As for "真破壊大帝", yep, IMO "True Emperor of Destruction" is good and suitable. :D --TX55 02:42, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Animated Megs
[edit]Um, I haven't see most of the episode of TF: Animated. Did anyone know which episode mentioned Animated Megatron is Emperor of Destruction? I only know Animated Magnus is Autobot Supreme Commander. Thanks. --TX55 09:23, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Scorponok
[edit]I'm sure Zarak did not call himself Emperor of Destruction but choose his own title. Dead Metal 15:05, 17 June 2009 (EDT)
SG Prime
[edit]Uhh.....was SG Prime ever referred to as an Emperor of Destruction, or did someone pluck that one out of thin air? ---Blackout- 13:35, 1 September 2009 (EDT)
- IIRC, it was on his tech spec card, but I don't have it handy to check. --ItsWalky 13:38, 1 September 2009 (EDT)
- OK.....gonna have to get used to that..... ---Blackout- 13:47, 1 September 2009 (EDT)
- You do remember correctly, I checked Siebertron's photos of his tech spec card and it does say that. Metal Gear NOIZE 14:00, 1 September 2009 (EDT)

Merging the page
[edit]Should we add this as part of 'decepticon leader'? It's the same thing. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.66.49.47 (talk • contribs).
- No, it isn't. Soundwave and Shockwave were both Decepticon leaders, but neither was Emperor of Destruction. --abates 20:30, 12 October 2010 (EDT)
Galaxy Force music
[edit]One of the tracks on the Galaxy Force soundtrack was titled "Emperor of Destruction." Should that be noted here?

The Fallen
[edit]Was Megatronus ever referred to as the Emperor of Destruction? - Tito-Mosquito (talk) 02:25, 8 February 2014 (EST)
- If he is, it's not mentioned on the Japanese Wikipedia entry for the film. Someone might be able to answer more definitively. --abates (talk) 03:37, 8 February 2014 (EST)
Japanese Fandom Term
[edit]Movie optimus prime is known in Japanese Fandom as 顔面破壊大帝 (Emperor of Destroying Faces) since he often smash the head of his victims, should this be included as a fandom term? (in here or other pages) (youquzhiji) 01:31, 24 February 2017 (EST)
Devil Z
[edit]Deathsaurus' Japanese profile reads: "Succeeded Overlord as the fifth Destron Leader." This isn't saying that Overlord was leader between Devil Z and Deathsaurus; it's saying Overlord is the commanding Transformer of the Decepticons, which he is. He even has box art like the other commanders. Devil Z is the "Decepticon god" and the "anti-Matrix," but he himself is not a Transformer. He's a force of nature. To say that Devil Z is the leader based on a technicality is incorrect. Devil Z was in command of Overlord no more than the Matrix was in command of Optimus Prime. --Startop 10:09, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
