after re-watching "The Key to Vector Sigma" episode Optimus stated "One Autobot gave his life so SIX may be born" there are only 5 Aerialbots so the SIXTH Autobot must be Superion, so when combined it's a new Bot not the 5 Aerialbots conscious combined
