Talk:Frank Welker
Frank on Beast Wars
[edit]Okay, so Ben Yee says that Bob Forward desperately wanted to get Welker to reprise Megatron for "The Agenda part 2" but Welker turned down all his offers because they couldn't reach his price and his schedule was too busy.
I've heard conflicting reports saying that the problem was Welker not being a part of some Canadian voice actors union or something. Is there any truth to that? --DrSpengler 20:15, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Robot Chicken
[edit]Is it worth noting anywhere that Welker reprised his roles as Soundwave and Megs for an episode of Robot Chicken? It's Transformers in Popular Culture, but it involved the original VA. -- Hunter-113 17:23, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think it's worth a note in the trivia section. --DrSpengler 17:47, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Voice Credits in Revenge of the Fallen
[edit]The credits at the end of the movie give him, if memory recalls correctly, three credits for voices... I think they were Soundwave, Devastator and ... Ravage? Rampage? I can't remember the last one. Anyway, it only shows him as voicing Soundwave here. Rose.T 01:28, 25 June 2009 (EDT)
German voice actor category?
[edit]Should Welker be added to the German voice actor category? He performed ROTF Soundwave in German and was credited for the role in the film, even though his dialogue ultimately went unused and was substituted with Horste Lamp's performance. Does the fact that he performed unused lines but was still credited qualify him for the category? Also, does anyone know what other languages he performed Soundwave in beside English, Italian and (unused) German? --DrSpengler 19:49, 8 May 2010 (EDT)
Amusing article
[edit]I think it'd be a good joke to describe Welker as "unknown" or "little-known" somewhere in this article, and cite this idiotic piece as a reference, just so everyone can have a look at this reporter's stupidity. Flicky1991 18:15, 4 August 2011 (EDT)
- Uh, by the celebrity standards of actors, he is unknown. The fact that nerds who watch cartoons know who he is does not make him a public name. —Interrobang 18:24, 4 August 2011 (EDT)
- You have a point when you include screen actors, but when it comes to voice acting, "little-known" is about as far from the truth as you can get. Anyhow, I say we shouldn't include that article, since it seems like a personal vendetta. --NCZ 19:00, 4 August 2011 (EDT)
- I'm pretty sure the article meant he is little-known and is a voice actor, not that he is little-known in the area of voice acting. It's ambiguous phrasing and not something to get bothered about. —Interrobang 19:05, 4 August 2011 (EDT)

- Wow, I just looked at what I typed, and realised how cruel what I put sounded. This was just meant to be an idea, and I totally understand why it doesn't need to be in the article. I'm kind of regretting ever bringing this up. Sorry! Flicky1991 13:41, 5 August 2011 (EDT)
