Talk:Freeze beam blaster

Overbite's tech specs call his hand weapon a jawbreaker cannon and his gun mode a (double-barrelled) tidal wavemaker (later an "upgraded" stormsurge cannon that appears to be basically do the same thing in the Club release). Where did this freeze beam come from? -LV 15:14, 6 April 2011 (EDT)

Cannon I can't tell, but Overbite's freeze beam blaster is mentioned in his Universe and MTMTE profiles. Geewunling 15:39, 6 April 2011 (EDT)
Interestingly, according to the Universe profile, he only uses the freeze beam blaster in shark mode. And it looks different! In robot mode and weapon mode, he has a Jawbreaker cannon. He must have originally been meant to have two guns. His tech spec calls this weapon mode double barreled like the Universe picture. - Starfield 15:54, 6 April 2011 (EDT)
Is this perhaps related to the ginormous black gun/stand that the figure came with?--Khajidha 16:03, 6 April 2011 (EDT)
In any case, this and the jawbreaker cannon page should probably be rewritten, and the tidal wavemaker added. Could MTMTE be the source of any of this confusion? -LV 21:56, 6 April 2011 (EDT)
Probably, as it says "In robot mode, he carries a freeze beam blaster". The jawbreaker cannon is only mentioned as the name of his weapon mode. Geewunling 00:56, 7 April 2011 (EDT)

I think his Universe profile describes the freeze beam blaster as his shark mode weapon. It is in the part of the profile where it is describing the shark mode and being underwater. "In shark mode,..." The next section is his weapon mode and the next section is his robot mode where he uses a jawbreaker cannon. The freeze beam blaster is also meant for use underwater, which he would mostly be a shark underwater. - Starfield 12:25, 7 April 2011 (EDT)

I would say you're quite right, and that I should be trying to do some actual work instead of making quick edits to the wiki. :) - Chris McFeely 12:33, 7 April 2011 (EDT)

Huh. Reading Overbite's Universe entry...his weapon mode is a tidal wavemaker because he WAGS HIS TAIL UNDERWATER. Apparently the gun part of his weapon mode is still a jawbreaker cannon, as described in both his and Piranacon's entries. So that "explains" that. (Although that begs the question of what his Timelines weapon mode is - did the big jawbreaker cannon get replaced with a stormsurge cannon that does the same thing his wagging tail already did?) -LV 13:13, 7 April 2011 (EDT)
