Talk:Frenzy (G1)
Dangerous in combat?
[edit]What was his Strength? 3 or something like that? He was a runt, even a whelp like Hound could have beaten him like a red-headed stepchild.71.34.68.213 22:04, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Your not taking into account his special sonic ability or his insane attack style. There's more to combat than brute strength. --ZacWilliam 22:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't think Transmutate is physically strong, but you sure wouldn't want to fight her. --ItsWalky 22:32, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Mode-locked Soundwave?
[edit]Is there anything to suggest Rumble and Frenzy weren't with Soundwave when he was mode locked? I like to think they were there and held in reserve and never ejected before Soundwave was mode-locked and that is how they got their cassette altmodes. - Starfield 09:49, 11 September 2009 (EDT)
Erroneous Note?
[edit]"According to his toy's bio, he "Can roll his drums to produce high-pitch, grating sound of 200dB." This is about 100 times as loud as the famous Krakatoa volcanic eruption, which was audible 3,000 miles away, and is actually louder than the theoretical limit for noise in a normal Earth atmosphere."
A couple of mistakes with this piece of trivia:
- 1) 200dB is NOT a hundred times as loud as Krakatoa. To give you some examples, a motorcycle is around 100dB, a loud rock concert is roughly 115dB and a jet engine is 140dB.
- 2) Whilst 194dB is often quoted as the highest possible sound in Earth's atmosphere, this assumes a) you are standing at sea-level, and b) the temperature is zero degrees centigrade. In higher-pressure situations (such as below sea-level), it is eminently possible to exceed 200dB on Earth.
I will re-word this to something a bit more accurate! Ryan Frost (talk) 11:58, 11 October 2016 (EDT)
- Krakatoa is said to be 180 dB, so, yes, a 200 dB sound would be a hundred times "louder". dB is logarithmic, not linear.Saix (talk) 13:47, 11 October 2016 (EDT)
- Haha, okay, didn't realise that. That'll teach me to be a smart-arse. I was still right about the 194dB 'limit', though!Ryan Frost (talk) 13:54, 11 October 2016 (EDT)
Scioli Joe
[edit]I'm pretty sure Tom Scioli id' him as Rumble in the first issue commentary, and that Barber was in error. Escargon (talk) 12:56, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
