"Division"?
[edit]"Hasbro's Titanium Series toyline is produced through Galoob's Micro Machines division." Uh, what other divisions do they have at the Galoob subsidiary? Wikipedia itself is no help. -Rotty 21:08, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, they used to be separated into divisions sort of similar to Kenner before they were bought up. I have no clue what's left now. They had Micro Machines (Micro Machines, Z-Bots, etc), boys' department (Star Trek figures, Dragon Flyz or however it was spelled comes to mind, other stuff), and girls' department (Sky Dancers, that kind of stuff). I'd have to dig up some old Collectible Toys & Values issues to find out exactly how it went.--MCRG 03:20, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know that part, but the entry says "Hasbro's Titanium Series toyline is produced through Galoob's Micro Machines division." If that's the only division the subsidiary has at present, we need to change that for accuracy. -Rotty 04:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- It might be fair to say that Galoob only exists as a brand rather than an actual department now.--MCRG 04:18, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- The Titanium Series packaging specifically says, "Titanium Series is a subdivision of Micro Machines". If that's how they define themselves, then we should use that wording. - Jackpot 18:59, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
- According to Hasbro at BotCon, they just stuck the Galoob name onto the Titanium packaging because the Star Wars Titaniums toys re-used some old Galoob molds. There is no "Galoob division". --Monzo 20:14, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
- So, if I'm understanding this correctly, the "division" sequence is actually Hasbro -> Micro Machines -> Titanium Series. Galoob is just a brand that Hasbro throws onto the Titanium boxes for good measure. I think the article as currently written basically reflects that, though I also think your Hasbro statement could make a good Trivia note. - Jackpot 20:54, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
