I honestly don't quite get the purpose of this page: like, sure, there are multiple franchises contained within the Japanese G1 umbrella, and so my first thought seeing this was that each link would lead to individual pages for those toylines... But then they all lead to the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers (toyline) page, which is just a large list with every Japanese toyline in one page, as with the European and South American ones. Isn't this page, then, kinda redundant, considering it almost entirely just features the same content as that other page but abridged? Personally, I feel like this should be replaced with a redirect to that page instead, so that it doesn't break everything else that links to it. (FortressMaxxing (talk) 12:33, 13 July 2025 (EDT))

Looking over at the history of the aforementioned larger page, it appears that it was in fact originally only about the first year of the G1 Japanese toyline before it was divided into multiple franchises, until everything else was merged with it in 2018 - thus; I suppose that this page once served a legitimate purpose, but nowadays it feels pretty pointless. Hm. Redundancy is a fair concern. Revisiting these two articles, I cannot help but notice that now that the dust has settled from the giga-merge:

1) This page has indeed mutated into an overview of the contents of the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers page.

2) The F!SRLT page *lacks* a dedicated overview section (litany of vestigial headers labeled "overview" for each individual year notwithstanding) due to being cobbled together from the smaller pages.

Perhaps the most straightforward thing would be to merge them rather than overwriting this page outright, with its content going to the top of the F!SRLT page when this namespace becomes a redirect?--AzimuthAcolyte (talk) 13:47, 13 July 2025 (EDT)

Alright, since everyone's in agreement on this, I've moved the bulk of this page to a new Overview in Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers (toyline)! The pictures are just placeholders for now, if someone can find more interesting illustrative examples like old Takara catalogues (similar to what the U.S. toyline page has) then that'd be neat.
