Is there another Grapple? --FortMax 20:05, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Hello, anybody? --FortMax 22:39, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Pretty sure there isn't, though I think in Japan he shares a name with Armada Smokescreen. --Andrusi 19:12, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

After typing up my description, I remembered there was a wiki article on the episode and checked what I'd said against it, but I forgot to change the edit summary. Just mentioning this so nobody gets the impression that I managed to remember it was called a "Solar Tower". --Andrusi 19:30, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

I think we need a good pic for the profile (really this goes for most of the G1 character entries. Superion is CRYING OUT for a better picture). Like a well-drawn picture by Guido or Don or somebody for the profile up top, and we can put the funny pictures in the relevant sections below. Well, problem is I don't have any of the DW MTMTE or profile books :( --FFN 09:55, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

But see, DW's designs are very fluid, but the Animation models are for the most part set in stone(aside from errors of course) so for the Comic and Cartoon Continuities, this IS what grapple looks like, and not mearly an artistic interpretation, perhaps this rigidness makes for a better opening picture?

On Grapple (G1)

[edit]

I see Grapple was created after the entry for "Grapple (G1) was removed in mid-2009. Wouldn't it simply make sense to leave all G1 characters with the (G1) suffix to guard against confusion and to maintain consistency? Fairplaythings 17:40, 17 January 2010 (EST)

I somewhat agree, but policy is only to use parentheticals if there is another entry with the same name. If there is a Grapple released under Revenge of the Fallen, it would be Grapple (ROTF) and this would become Grapple (G1). Until such time, it is considered unneeded.Khajidha 17:43, 17 January 2010 (EST)
Typing "and then [[Grapple]] kicked their asses" is easier than typing "and then [[Grapple (G1)|]] kicked their asses", thus we avoid parentheticals where possible. I recommend reading Help:Disambiguation. --abates 18:09, 17 January 2010 (EST)
