Fan-colored model as main image
[edit]Anyway i don't 100% like having a fancolored model at the top of the page, but on the OTHER hand I also really hate all those fan-drawn character models across the internet being passed off as the real model sheets, and I guess I hate coloring lineart for a mainpic less than that. - I keep thinking about how we have Elita One's real vehicle mode model way at the bottom of her page and how that makes like zero headway in how much the made-up vehicle mode gets passed around. Moved discussion from "Talk:Greenlight (One)"
[edit]Well, with page moves finally turned back on, I see the G1 character is still at the namespace "Greenlight (G1)". Does that mean we do or do not accept Greenlight as the identity of the unnamed generic in Transformers One who evidently was not scripted in time to receive a Chinese trading card from Kayou? - I'm still firmly of the opinion that "Lancer" and "Greenlight" are just generics in the G1 characters' colours, but I recognise that I'm probably outvoted on that point. --Broadside (talk) 15:24, 22 October 2024 (EDT)
- There's multiples of both in most scenes, simultaneously. I counted at least six Lancers in the crowd for Orion's big miner speech! There's so many Lancers. --ItsWalky (talk) 15:45, 22 October 2024 (EDT)
- Okay well to be fair on THAT I'm pretty sure we've got at least two Sunstreakers in that crowd and he was named by the trading cards. I'm just not convinced we should be confidently saying "yeah this is [character X]" for any miner that hasn't been officially labeled, given that most of the miners are generic models recoloured rather than having specific design details of existing characters. --Broadside (talk) 16:03, 22 October 2024 (EDT)

- Not really something I'm willing to fight about but consider a lot of the miner designs are only like 50% accurate since theyre mostly recolors of the same few parts. Like Moonracer doesn't really look like Moonracer, in fact I think her head is more based on Lancer than G1 Moonracer. There's also a few obvious cameos that dont get cards or concept art like Red alert --Boingus (talk)
