Why?

[edit]

Does this page need to exist? We don't make pages for every pop culture reference. --Xaaron 16:02, 27 November 2010 (EST)

We have lots of pages based on one line pop culture references. Why are they a problem? --abates 16:16, 28 November 2010 (EST)
Especially when they directly tie in to other articles here? --M Sipher 19:00, 28 November 2010 (EST)
You're really not going to win this fight, Xaaron. —Interrobang 19:09, 28 November 2010 (EST)
"We don't make pages for every pop culture reference." But.... Rick Astley... --Detour 19:24, 28 November 2010 (EST)
Sure...the funny ones. But the ones like "Carlos mentioned Harrison Ford once" usually just get redirected to Wikipedia proper. Are we going to make a page for Fight Club since Jack made a Fight Club reference in Transformers: Prime? (Okay, that could be a funny one, but still...) --Xaaron 19:36, 28 November 2010 (EST)
No, because he didn't mention the actual thing. —Interrobang 19:52, 28 November 2010 (EST)
Besides which, if we made an article about it, we'd break the first rule of Robot Fight Club. --abates 19:58, 28 November 2010 (EST)
THINGS THAT DON'T EXIST. -hx 07:21, 29 November 2010 (EST)
[edit]

Let's not put external links in our opening paragraphs. The reason that the top of the article says "he has something to do with archaeology" is because, in Transformers fiction, Harrison Ford was mentioned in respect to archaeology. Note the context in the fiction section down there. --ItsWalky 19:32, 13 October 2011 (EDT)
