Talk:Heroes of Cybertron (toyline)
I haven't really the energy do make an article about this, but I am wondering... should there be a SCF/HOC category? They certianly have the numbers. --M Sipher 19:50, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
I dont think they would need their own category, this article would pretty much be the only thing in it. But after working on this for awhile, i started wondering if the page should actually be "Heroes of Cybertron", since all other Japanese series redirect to their US counterparts. Okay, re-opening this. 1) This page should be under "Heroes of Cybertron", for the reason above. 2) There should be a category because there are dozens of characters who are a part of it. Discuss. --M Sipher 18:01, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Updatey
[edit]All the changes I made to this page are based on Nakas' list on Autobase Aichi (here). Resources on SCF are fairly scarce otherwise; I think the original version of Generations has a list of figures up to Act ... maybe 4 or 5, but I have not had time to dig out mine to see if the names of the figure variations properly match up with the Autobase Aichi list. I do plan to do this, but I generally trust Nakas, so... ehn.
The character names on the list were originally a hodge-podge of US and Japanese versions; I've switched all the links to the Japanese versions in my update.
I have no idea what the title of Chapter 8 is supposed to be, and couldn't come up with a better word than "Sortie!" for Act 1. Suggestions from the Japanese literate among us welcome.
Acts 9 and 10 are at "The Legend of the Microns" "Legends of the Microns" because that's how "Micron Densetsu" is translated on the title pages in Linkage; Hirofumi Ichikawa is no slouch with English, so I've been slowly changing refs on the site from "Micron Legend" to that when I see them. (I haven't been going at this really thoroughly, though.) --Monzo 21:23, 30 July 2009 (EDT)
Merge with HOC
[edit]Seriously, shouldn't this redirect to Heroes of Cybertron? Can someone more skilled than I do this please? Khajidha 10:22, 25 November 2009 (EST)
- I was the one who separated the lines in the first place, although now I cannot 100% recall my reasoning why. --Monzo 10:33, 25 November 2009 (EST)
- I have mocked up a combination of the two pages at User:Khajidha/sandbox/heroes. I think it still needs a rewrite to merge the two sources. I would welcome comments and/or help. Khajidha 11:47, 25 November 2009 (EST)
- I had originally thought the two should be separate until I saw Khajidha's mock-up. Now I think they should go together. Good job there. Now let me ask this. I have box art for each of the first eight waves of the SCF line. Is there interest in adding a small image beside each indent? fairplaythings 2:34, 11 January 2010 (EST)
- After having the note up for several months with no negative reaction, I went ahead and did it. Didn't mean for some of the changes to be tagged as minor. Khajidha 19:00, 5 February 2010 (EST)
- To fairplaythings - I think that would be great. The article could use a few images, especially if they were ones that wouldn't normally be found on the character pages. Khajidha 11:44, 6 February 2010 (EST)

Merge with SCF
[edit]I am reposting this from the talk page of SCF in the hopes of getting an active discussion going.

Arguments on either side are welcomed. Khajidha 20:16, 15 December 2009 (EST)
- I agree, they are essentially the same thing, and I find my self flipping between the two pages constantly when working on my collection. --Terrortron 19:45, 4 February 2010 (EST)
- So, anyone know how to go about merging the two/replacing with my sandbox without losing the page histories? Khajidha 12:18, 5 February 2010 (EST)

SCF as top level brand
[edit]I wanted to know whether it is worth mentioning that SCF is a top-level brand, similar to Titanium. By that I mean that SCF in Japan had more than just Transformers in it, just like Titanium also has Star Wars or Indiana Jones. Besides Transformers were SF Worlds Act 1 and 2 which were primarily of Microman/Henshin Cyborg characters. Tripredacus 16:54, 21 October 2011 (EDT)
Skywarp
[edit]I definitely remember someone having one of these in-hand on the Transfans board, which they bought for a fortune a few months before HOC was announced. Not sure if that counts as verification the SCF version was sent out or that someone was selling off the stock. Shadow XGX-9 (talk) 06:39, 1 July 2022 (EDT)
