March Madness

I'm willing to bet money that "March Shower", poetic as it may be, involves a mistranslation of マルチ, as in マルチ戦隊 (MultiForce). "March" would be マーチ. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the JG2 comic insert or an original-language scan (the translated version linked to on the page has no Japanese visible), so I can't confirm this directly. --Apcog 13:51, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

"March" was my translation made several years ago, "Multi" was Hydra's. Personally, I'd go with Hydra's translation, as he's most certainly correct in this instance. I presumed "March" because I know how much the Japanese like that poetic stuff, but if "Multi" had come to mind while I was doing it, I likely would have sprung for that one instead. It just hadn't ocurred to me at the time for some reason. So yeah, go with "Multi". --DrSpengler 16:02, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

To be fair, it took me a bit to equate with マルチ "multi" back when Victory first came out, so I can sympathize. It helped that I'd seen Koala March brand snacks in Japanese TV commercials by then, which allowed for some process of elimination.--Apcog 21:21, 6 July 2009 (EDT)
