I just noticed that Howlback is described as female. Not disputing, but very curious as to where this information comes from? The gender of the articles in her bio, or something more elaborate? I'm a bit unclear on how a female version of Howlback existing makes her transgender, since she would have to have a non-female body. If the universe she came from had females, her existing in a normally no-female universe shouldn't change that.KrytenKoro (talk) 18:19, 27 June 2014 (EDT)

Okay, that clears it up. I got confused and thought for some reason we were referring to SG Howlback.

As far as the transgender situation goes -- I cleared up some icky wording about Howlback being "technically genderless" (first off -- it would be biologically neuter, not genderless, and second off -- "technically"? Nooooooo. Don't use.), and removed the note about Arcee. As far as I can tell, since the SRT, Arcee is not only biologically female (since Jhiaxus tampered with her CNA), but also identifies as a woman -- meaning she never actually experienced the disalignment that would make her transgender or transexual. Granted, there's still controversy about what each term specifically means, so it's possible according to one source or another she would fall under the definitions simply by virtue of having changed sex, regardless of the lack of disalignment. Wikipedia suggests "transsexed", a third term, to refer to this situation, although due to real life not having magic robot mad scientists who can warp your mind as well, it's not clear whether the definition still relies on the disalignment or not.KrytenKoro (talk) 21:43, 11 August 2014 (EDT)
