Laserbeak trivia

Well, technically, his guitar mode IS mistranformed right there... For the toy, the guitar's headstock is supposed to be a "V"... The third little bump in the middle is supposed to be laserbeak's tailfeathers in bird mode. True, it's not anything major... But it's still a noticeable difference. (Yet Another) Possible references?

FLCL reference

I see my FLCL reference was taken down (unless my eyes deceived me). In its defense, the shot seemed like quite a deliberate reference, not like the supposed Gurren Lagann bits from the first and second season. And seeing as how Wyatt has mentioned FLCL as an inspiration and other shows like Teen Titans have purposefully referenced it, I don't think it's a stretch. Plus, the El-Kabong-like sound effect also served to undermine the gigantic "BBVVVVVV" noise the guitars made in FLCL.
