"Best recognised"?

[edit]

I can't be the only one who thinks of him from his Star Trek work (especially Weyoun & Brunt from DS9) before the other stuff, no? I think that line's a sign of the biases of the guy who wrote it over objective fact. - Mammalian Verisimilitude 12:43, 5 February 2010 (EST)

I think he's probably best known among people who watch Star Trek for his Star Trek work. I don't, but I've never seen Re-Animator either, and I knew that he was in that before learning in the course of the discussion prompted by today's news that he was in Star Trek. - Chris McFeely 12:46, 5 February 2010 (EST)

And saying he's best recognized for his Star Trek work wouldn't be biased? I'd say the legions of horror fans out there either equal or outnumber the legions of Trekkies, and every one of them would recognize Combs as the Re-Animator in a hot second. But if the idea of him being considered "best recognized" from anything other than Star Trek offends you so much, then perhaps we could just remove the "best recognized" part entirely or modify it to "best recognized by horror fans". --DrSpengler 12:47, 5 February 2010 (EST)

Also, he actually CAN be recognized fairly easily from Re-animator as he isn't wearing the heavy makeup needed for his roles as Weyoun and Brunt. Khajidha 12:50, 5 February 2010 (EST)

'Best recognized' is a silly thing to say anyway. 'Well known' is better.--Jimsorenson 12:51, 5 February 2010 (EST)

And already used elsewhere in the article ... but something else a little less subjective.--Jimsorenson 12:52, 5 February 2010 (EST)
