Talk:Jointron
True
[edit]My initial impression is that this article is a parody of the Transformers, rather than a true article. Not ever having heard of the Jointrons, and seeing what I believe to be a bad photoshoped picture, I can't but help but think the Jointrons are not what they are described here. Having no where else to go (why should I google the Jointrons, when the wiki should be the resource for all things Transformers), I have to conclude that the sub-group is beneath serious mention. --Revanche 11:38, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sadly, there is little to no actual parody in this article. The Jointrons exist, and they are indeed extremely bad Mexican stero-types. They even play in a mariache band. Dammit Japan. --UndeadScottsman 11:50, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- UndeadScottsman is correct. The Jointron brothers were indeed crazy inappropriate Mexican stereotypes. "The Jointron Brothers are off in a forest performing a conga line... --ItsWalky 16:33, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Also, just to note, that photo is not a fan-photoshop. That is an actual advertisement I got from bigbot.com. --DrSpengler 16:35, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- I weep for the future...okay, I'm over it. Thanks for the clarification, guys. --Revanche 00:37, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Waitwaitwait, not trying to start a 'gument here, but how are mariachis racist? I mean, that's traditional Mexican music. It's not as if theyre lazy and drunk and always taking jobs from the other transformers...
Should I be offended?
[edit]I've been watching Beast Wars II lately, and I'm gonna be honest, I feel like these guys SHOULD offend me, however I'm not offended, and I actually find these guys entertaining. I have latino blood in me, and half of my family is Mexican, but honestly I love these guys. Gimlet is especially my favorite. "Muchas! Muchas!" Lemme know how you guys feel about them tho. --Toasted Roasted Peanuts 16:37, 5 March 2021 (CST)
- It's really not anyone's job to tell you what to think, but I can see why they can be seen as offensive, but I don't think they are ment to be, this video explains this better than I could. --DDog (talk) 18:27, 5 March 2021 (EST)
