Alignment
[edit]Okay, the Alignment page claims that this character is a canonized version of the Killzone from that work, while this page claims that it is merely a coincedence. I'm fine either way, but shouldn't it be consistent? Khajidha 13:04, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- Coincidence or not, Killzone has been canonized. I mean, what else do you want?--Jimsorenson 13:23, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- Then this page should say somewhere that this Killzone IS that Killzone. The note as is reads as if they were just two characters with the same name. Khajidha 13:29, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- As far as I understand the situation, GTF Killzone is a character who was created separately from A Killzone. However, they are both part of the same continuity family, have the same faction, gender and name with nothing to contradict they are the same "duck". Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the wiki considers characters alike as this for all intents and purposes the same character. Like Tornado and the same-allied American vs Japanese Micromasters. Geewunling 13:42, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- Wouldn't the solution here be to just ask Sipher? --Jeysie 13:55, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- Sipher's the one who put the note in it's current form stating it was just a coincidence. Seems like he and Jim have a major disagreement about the interpretation. --Khajidha 14:16, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- And the note in its current form is absolutely fine with me. I'm not sure I see ANY difference in interpretation, so once again I wonder what exactly you want to change.--Jimsorenson 17:15, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- Maybe I'm over thinking it, but Alignment linking here seems to say that this IS the same character while saying it is just a coincidence seems to mean it ISN'T the same character. -- Khajidha 19:21, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- I think you're overthinking it. Read Alignment, it specifically says that it is a coincidence. But again, that's just a statement about authorial intent, and that is something that persuades but doesn't override other considerations.--Jimsorenson 19:35, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
- In this case, authorial intent is paramount, as the only possible way this Killzone could be thought of as the "same" as the Alignment character is if that is what the author intended. This is due to the Killzone from Alignment not actually existing as a canonical character at all. --KilMichaelMcC 19:45, 2 April 2010 (EDT)

Once again, GTF Killzone has fuck-all to do with Alignment. It was a name I'd had in my "big list of names not used in official TFs" that was appropriately bombastic and silly for a throwaway character. I've never even read Alignment. Pure coincidence, no intent at a tie-in ever. --M Sipher 14:33, 2 April 2010 (EDT)
Given the Ask Vector Prime from AllSpark Almanac Volume 2 how do we handle the 2 Killzones now? Please don't kill me for asking. --Khajidha 09:41, 1 August 2010 (EDT)
