Talk:King of the Hill (Part 1)

TVGuide parses the title as "King of the Hill - Part 1" (and the same for "King of the Hill - Part 2"). --Sabrblade (talk) 07:48, 23 April 2017 (EDT)

I'm beginning to think that we should stop paying attention to how the listing sites/magazines are spelling the names and just pick a scheme that is consistent. It's not like they have the episode titles on-screen, and at the moment we have some RID episodes as "Title, Part 1" and some as "Title (Part 1)" which looks bizarre and arbitrary. --abates (talk) 16:27, 23 April 2017 (EDT)
To be a little fair, inconsistent title formatting for multi-parters is kind of a thing in Transformers cartoon history. But yeah, it's times like these that make me wish Hasbro Studios would just put the titles in the episodes themselves instead of making us guess on the official formatting. --Sabrblade (talk) 19:07, 23 April 2017 (EDT)
I'd be in favour of switching the RID episodes to all using commas, which would be consistent with Prime and therefore the most likely to match the official formatting. --abates (talk) 20:48, 23 April 2017 (EDT)
Possibly. Though, some of our comma formatting in the Prime episode titles was Interrobang's doing, rather than what the TV listings said. I recall my DVR using hyphens for several of the Prime multi-part episodes, and IIRC, my DVR listed only "Darkness Rising"as having had commas while all the rest used hyphens. --Sabrblade (talk) 22:57, 23 April 2017 (EDT)
I think Interrobang was pretty much right though. If they have on-screen titles, fine, if not we're trying to second guess which of a bunch of sources has the right punctuation, and ultimately the punctuation isn't that meaningful in this case anyway. It doesn't give the title a different meaning whether you use a comma or a dash or brackets. --abates (talk) 23:51, 23 April 2017 (EDT)
Agreed with using a consistent format unless we get, like, the actual scripts or something. Saix (talk) 00:39, 24 April 2017 (EDT)

Where to put crew credits

[edit]

I noticed we've got an orphaned page for Diana Ling, a storyboard artist whose only listed 'Transformers' credit is this episode. Would it be appropriate to add her name to this page somewhere to de-orphan the page? I presume the credit wouldn't go at the top under the header screencap with the writer, director, etc., so would the trivia section be appropriate? I don't presume this article is under a lot of scrutiny right now, so if anyone more senior than me spots this, please weigh in. Spacebridge Technician (talk) 22:50, 24 March 2022 (EDT)
