In the notes section: "Megatron's zombified troops are casualties of the Underbase Saga, all save Ratbat having been felled by Starscream while he was high on Underbase power. Apparently, we are to assume from this that the Decepticons never bothered to gather the bodies of their fallen, and that they have lain on Earth all this time until Megatron got his grubby fingers on them. Ratbat, though, was killed while aboard the Ark, so presumably his body was kept there by the Autobots and removed from the wreck by Megatron."

...Why are we to assume this? Surely it's more reasonable to assume that the Decepticons gathered up their fallen and the bodies were being stored in Scorponok's New Jersey base (possibly including Ratbat, but whether he's on the Ark or in New Jersey is largely immaterial)? All Megatron would need to do would be to find the base and gather the troops (and he probably had Starscream's help, as Starscream could have shown him where the wreckage of the base was at quite easily).--G.B. I think it's more reasonable to presume it's a simple mistake and not make up explanations for it. Not that Ratbat isn't there, just that he isn't terribly likely to be there, given circumstances. Either explanation is making up stuff we don't know. --ItsWalky 23:10, 1 August 2012 (EDT)
Reading Simon's blog, he drops a couple of hints as to where these 'Cons (including Ratbat) came from, and finishes with "...all will be revealed". I won't drop spoilers for future issues here, but Ratbat's appearance isn't maybe as jarring as it first appears. --Emvee 03:20, 2 August 2012 (EDT)
My point is, I see no reason to even assume a mistake was made here. My attempt at an explanation was included only because it seemed pretty obvious to me. I think this particular "note" should be deleted entirely.--G.B. Blackrock 19:51, 2 August 2012 (EDT)
