Talk:MP-1B Cybertron Commander / Convoy Black Ver.
Untitled
[edit]MP Black Convoy is not Optimus Prime, so he goes on another page.
Maybe Dann's? Ahehehehaha? --ItsWalky 02:15, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- I guess? I'm just not sure whether we need a new character page for... "Convoy Black Ver." or whatever his name is. We have Prowl II, even though that's Chase's brain. (Admittedly, that example has more complex stuff going on.) —Interrobang 02:32, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- The toy's bio notes that the "Black Convoy" bodies are called "Eldedroids". The figure appearing in the comic appears to be but one of these mass-produced robots, with the mind of "Dann" controlling it. Also, that's probably Diver, rather than Waverider, bein' J-toon continuity and all! - Chris McFeely 07:23, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- Doesn't Laser Magnus's backstory include Galvatron II, a Marvel Comics guy who commanded Warworlds and wore the Creation Matrix around his neck? --ItsWalky 10:06, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- And who was stated to have come from another dimension. - Chris McFeely 10:09, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- And Ironhide is alive despite never getting a Binaltech toy which might explain his reappearance, and the American character Splashdown is there just for shits and giggles? (Actually, considering Diver and Waverider are separate pages, shouldn't allegedly Japanese Splashdown get his own?) --ItsWalky 10:40, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- Arguably! On Ironhide, the Binaltech story chapters strongly imply that most, if not all, of the Autobots were transferred to Binaltech bodies, in addition to just those few who got toys. But as I've just recently written over in the story chapters pages, we really don't know what happened in the "mainstream" cartoon universe during that time period after the Binaltech story was diverged off. But it's not like this is me making up the fact that this is in J-continuity, the 2007 timeline put the e-Hobby story with Laser Magnus and Galvy II and black-body THS Prime in there! - Chris McFeely 11:06, 18 January 2010 (EST)

We should also link the weird techno whale creature. Hopefully we'll get a name for him in the next six pages? Maybe? He doesn't look like either a Klud or Hytherion... --ItsWalky 02:39, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- It's presumably just a native lifeform altered by the Decepticons. (Looks more like a gulper eel to me.) —Interrobang 03:09, 18 January 2010 (EST)
Aw man, I just read this and on the last page, I saw goatse. I need a new brain. Though if we ever needed a site image to send to hotlinkers... --Emvee 18:20, 18 January 2010 (EST)
I won't be making any edits myself, but here are a few details about this story that have been misinterpreted: The Pretender is Splashdown, not Diver, per the authorial intent of Hidetsugu Yoshioka. This is why he's the same size as Waverider in shell, and not human-sized. The implication being that both Diver and Splashdown exist in J-cartoon continuity, with the major difference being that Diver uses an Earth Gather to miniaturize himself, whereas Splashdown doesn't. The Eldedroid in this story is not controlled by Daniel, but instead imbued with a personality created based on Daniel. This is why he says "The human..." and so on.HydraDW 00:54, 9 March 2012 (EST)
I'm confused. All this has been covered in the page itself for basically forever. We already say that the Pretender is Splashdown and not Diver, because of what Yoshioka said. Are you reading a different page?Apparently I'm remembering an earlier, less vague version of the article. --ItsWalky 01:03, 9 March 2012 (EST)
