First article, I apologize for the mess. Between a few merchandise articles I didn't know which style to emulate. Noilaedi (talk) 15:12, 17 May 2022 (EDT)

Had to fix the reference tags, but otherwise it's a decent starting place. Don't feel like you need to create a complete and final article from the get-go. It'll get there over time as people add to it. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 16:26, 17 May 2022 (EDT)
Thanks. For actually linking to the cards in question (and any future cards), I would suggest Scryfall over Gatherer. Scryfall has higher quality pictures and they include promo/special cards Gatherer doesn't have like these two in question. Noilaedi (talk) 16:35, 17 May 2022 (EDT)

Do we need a whole section explaining the gameplay of MTG? I feel it should just be a brief introduction and then straight into the Transformers stuff --Emvee (talk) 04:44, 21 November 2022 (EST)

Agreed. I mean, we don't go into detail about how to play chess. --Khajidha (talk) 11:15, 21 November 2022 (EST)
Yes, but chess's rules and gameplay are static and don't change based on which pieces you use. You're not gonna come across someone who's built an "optimized" set of chess pieces. I think the how-to parts are helpful, as they provide context to each TF card's function and abilities in-game. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 11:50, 21 November 2022 (EST)
I suppose it depends on the intended purpose of this page though; is it documenting TF content within MTG or a guide on to how to play TF cards in MTG? Personally, I don't play MTG—I'm more into WH40K—but if through a Hasbro deal with Games Workshop something like "Orktimus Prime" became a real thing you could buy I wouldn't expect the article to begin with a comprehensive runthrough of the WH40K rules. That seems like something we should leave to the game's own wiki to explain. --Emvee (talk) 12:33, 21 November 2022 (EST)
Not for one card, no. But when there's over 30 TF cards, that context becomes more important. Besides, the gameplay section keeps it relevant to the Transformers content by using the TF cards to illustrate each of the concepts, and this is helpful for users who don't have an existing understanding of Magic. It's no different than how our video game articles include gameplay sections, even those where TFs are only guests. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 13:55, 21 November 2022 (EST)
I guess you're right, I just took a look at DreamMix TV World Fighters and the gameplay section there is also very detailed, though I'd maybe argue it's excessively so. Maybe I just don't understand the need to elaborately explain other franchises' game mechanics :/ --Emvee (talk) 14:29, 21 November 2022 (EST)
