Name meaning

I posted the meaning of Mahfouz's name in Arabic, which is "guarded / protected / well-kept / preserved / defended / etc. one". But does anyone think this could reference anything? Like how he survives Blackout's attack, or how he's "protected" by Lennox's team? (I have a similar discussion regarding Akram's name) -- Ziyad 18:41, 14 August 2009 (EDT)
