Should Cy-Kill get a page.

[edit]

I've always just linked the name just to GoBots before myself, but since whoever made this page created a direct link to a Cy-Kill article I figured I'd raise the question. No, he's never been named in universe(and may never be) but he HAS had a good number of cameos IIRC and this appearence is especially rather long, he gets some dialogue "on-screen" and a cover appearence. I'm fine with just linking to GoBots, but at the same time, once he starts talking and lasting more than a page I think it kinda goes beyond "cameo" and makes him a minor character. I mean if Big Red or some of the other folks who have pages get them Cy-Kill may deserve one too. Thoughts? --ZacWilliam 12:34, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Cy-Kill fought Megatron as a Gladiator in Dreamwave continuity too (DW G1 Ongoing #10.) I think... a page that defines him as a background Transformer, not as a Go-bot. (Since they're both in-continuity.) The distinction has to be made that he's a Transformer here, and in, um... Armada? (Someplace else? Didn't Cy-Kill get smelted someplace?) -NotHere13:22, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
linking to Cy-Kill instead of gobots was my way of endorsing Cy-Kill getting his own page. He's had more appearances in Transformer comics than a good number of Transformers, I imagine. (and I'm pretty sure he was in the smelting pits in War and Peace at some point). And there's huge opportunity for his page to be one of the wackier ones.--Zodberg 14:32, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
The biggest problem as I see it is, by the standards the TF universe has set for itself re: GoBots, most of these are probably not actually Cy-Kill. I don't like characters as subprofiles, generally, but maybe the best way to handle it is to have a specific part of the GoBots page dealing with Cy-Kill's repeated, uh..."visual cameos", and link to that? -LV 16:28, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I think that Cy-Kill now deserves his own page-- as a Transformer not as a Go-bot. He's the Decepticon who fought Megatron in his early gladiator days in 2 continuities, and got smelted in Dreamwave's G1v2#3. There should be a footnote that he's based on the Cy-Kill from the Go-Bots universe... but the TF in these appearances is not that Cyborg, who does exist in the TF multiverse but does not yet have any appearances. He's like Steelgrave in the recent club story. He is not the Starrior- but he is a Transformer based on/inspired by him. Deal with how to split them apart if/when the actual GoBot Cy-Kill makes an appearance.
His decapitated corpse (head on the bench below) is in Armada #16. Despite being separate continuity families, this should be one article, like Big Red. That's all 4 appearances properly cited.- SoTotallynothereYet17:03, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

"Elaborate decorative panels"

[edit]

Those antennae on Megatron's head are /not/ decorative, they do serve a purpose, according to Alex Milne. He did not want to tell anybody yet what they are for, but he said he would like to go into detail in later comics, if he was to get the chance. So, Megatron revealing those appendages did serve a purpose although only Mr. Milne knows what it's all about. I just thought it should be noted.--Aureole 13:46, 22 August 2010 (EDT)

Tankor?

[edit]

Would this count as an even earlier appearence than the RID Annual for him? Escargon (talk) 23:00, 10 May 2014 (EDT)

Anybody? Escargon (talk) 13:35, 18 May 2014 (EDT)
Huh, yeah, it would certainly count. It's pre-war, so doesn't jibe with him being a NAIL or anything. Jalaguy (talk) 14:23, 18 May 2014 (EDT)
