Talk:Microman
Just wondering, would it be welcomed if I added some photos of some Mircoman toys (Including one using Megatron's Gun Turrent), or would it be considered unnecessary and a waste of space? If it would be alright, how many pictures should I limit it to, and what would be the best size for them?
- I think that would be a great idea. The article itself is pretty short right now, though... At the current length I think no more than two pictures. If somebody lengthens the article, more pictures could be added of course, although I'd think five or six would be the most to put in, even if the article ends up quite a bit longer. Pictures that are a few hundred pixels across/high are fine. Just make sure you give them "thumb" attributes in the article so they don't mess up the formatting. --Steve-o 23:58, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Cool, I'll try to take a couple photos over the weekend(One group one, one concentrating on the accessories). Maybe I can do some more research into them too. Although I've become somewhat a collector of them, I know little about their actual background, though a DVD that some of them were bundled with gave some details of their production, including dates, though this might be a bit too much. I'm pretty sure I can find a list of the different series somewhere online, that should be cool beefing up material. I just remembered the most awesome Mircoman figure of all. Microman Figures that come with Rubber Godzilla suits. No one can deny that is awesome...
Merge?
[edit]It seems to me - as Micro Change was a subline of Microman - that perhaps the two articles should be merged into a single article covering both the main line and its directly TF-related subline. Thoughts? --Monzo 00:52, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Micronauts
[edit]Given recent announcements by Hasbro on the future of Micronauts, shouldn't this entry be expanded to include a more fulsome recount of the Micronauts? (Or have a separate entry added to the wiki?)Fairplaythings 12:19, 21 January 2010 (EST)
- I second the latter. With Revolution happening, I propose we should expand to full coverage of Micronauts, similar to the way we cover G.I. Joe. A Micronauts franchise page, character pages, etc. --DannyBoy 21:02, 9 July 2016 (EST)
- We will cover the Micronauts characters and events that fit our inclusion criteria, with qualifying events having to be Transformers-focused. Character pages will probably be short.

- I still think we should expand to have more coverage of Micronauts as a franchise, especially since this isn't the first time Hasbro tried to put them in the same universe as Transformers. We need to either create a Micronauts section on this page that covers the franchise's history or create an entirely new page for Micronauts, not just a link to Wikipedia. --DannyBoy (talk) 06:39 15 July 2016 (EST)
- They should end up being treated the same as the Visionaries or Inhumanoids. A franchise overview page oriented towards how they fit in with TFs, and individual pages only for those who did important things within the context of TF stories. --Thylacine 2000 (talk) 07:36, 15 July 2016 (EDT)

I've gone ahead and created a Sandbox for a Micronauts franchise page. However, I'm wondering if the info should just be ported over to here instead. My only hesitation with that is that we have separate pages for Microman and Micro Change, and the fact that, while Micronauts is a descendant of Microman, it is a separate franchise. --DannyBoy (talk) 11:17, 5 September 2016 (EDT)
- I think Micronauts should get its own page, but I also feel that it should be a page for the comic rather than the nebulous "franchise", much like our Action Force page. --Riptide (talk) 11:23, 5 September 2016 (EDT)
- Well, my thinking behind a franchise page was kinda along the lines of the G.I. Joe (franchise) or GoBots pages. After all, Revolution marks the second time that Micronauts has been integrated into the Transformers universe. Same with M.A.S.K. (franchise). Heck, we even have a Visionaries page, and that has never crossed over with Transformers fiction-wise (save for an Allspark Almanac joke.) Action Force is also a part of the G.I. Joe franchise, so obviously it wouldn't get it's own franchise page. Whilst we're on the topic, I'd dare say that Action Man is just a part of the G.I. Joe franchise too. --DannyBoy (talk) 12:09, 5 September 2016 (EDT)
If we were to create a Micronauts page, should it be a new page called Micronauts (franchise), or should we just replace the redirect to Microman on Micronauts? --DannyBoy (talk) 13:40, 27 September 2016 (EDT)
