Longarm and Salvage origin

In the interview above, John Barber commentates on Longarm and Salvage's origin in which he seems to hold the Cybertronian veteran origin of Longarm and Salvage from the novels over the AllSpark mutation origin from the toys (timestamp for the interview section in question is roughly 00:14:00-00:17:00).

On this timeline page, however, it is told that Longarm and Salvage are AllSpark mutations as stated in the toy bios.

While the toy alt modes of Longarm and Salvage were indeed shown in Alliance and Reign of Starscream to foreshadow them eventually becoming those characters, we never saw those two vehicles actually become Longarm and Salvage, so I think the novel appearances and therefore the veteran origin would take precedeence in light of the creator commentary.--Primestar3 (talk) 13:33, 17 March 2024 (EDT)
