Carnivac or Weirdwolf?
[edit]So currently on the page article it says that the white wolf head in Soundwave's flashback is Carnivac, but are we sure that isn't supposed to be Weirdwolf? It looks like there are some yellow robot parts connecting at the very edge of the panel to the neck, as well as what appears to be some representation of his wolf heads joint that flips back, as well as the detail ridge things on his neck, all details that Weirdwolf has that Carnivac does not AFAIK --- Jrgolden42 (talk) 12:46, 4 January 2017 (EST)
Colonists' Faction
[edit]With Slide having Autobot faction symbols, am I alone in feeling that it's safe to say that all of the other colonists are Autobots at this point? Like, with how they're being characterized, and even if their symbols aren't visible (TC never put any on, but we're still calling him one), I'd be amazed if it was only the one who officially joined the Prime's faction. But if other people think this isn't a safe assumption, then I think Oiler being the only other one considered an Autobot because it's his sister wearing their faction symbol is also pretty iffy. --Sockie (talk) 16:31, 4 January 2017 (EST)
- There needs to be a concrete decision made here because I am pretty fed up of this constant shuffling of characters' factions. Yes, Sockie, you're right, it's entirely stupid to think only two of the colonist have joined the Autobots - I put them all in the Autobot category last issue because it seemed obvious to me, only to have them moved because they don't wear symbols. So I go with the flow and put them in the "Other" category with this issue, but decide to do the same with Thundercracker, who I was never very comfortable with putting in the "Autobots" category in past issues, because he never wore the symbol or self-identified as an Autobot, but now HE's been moved out of that category, despite falling under the same critera as the characters moved INTO it last issue! - Chris McFeely (talk) 17:32, 4 January 2017 (EST)
- They seem pretty implicitly Autobot-aligned to me. Grum (talk) 17:36, 4 January 2017 (EST)
- I'm fine with the colonists here being labeled as Autobots, as they are devout followers/fans of the Prime, and the Prime's faction is "Autobot", so....
- But yeah, not Thundercracker. --M Sipher (talk) 17:54, 4 January 2017 (EST)
- So where does that put us with Prowl and, more generally, Sentinel's security forces? I believe all of Megatron: Origin has them faction-less, but we seem to concede that the language used in "The Last Autobot" kind-of retcons them into being called Autobots back then, too. Personally I'm fine with ignoring the implications of that issue (and any other language during the Titans Return line that suggests that Sentinel's forces are called Autobots), but we either need to state that in those issues (IMO) or we'll have to go around and slap Autobot labels on anyone on Sentinel's side during his reign as Prime. - Well, it's not that MO has them "factionless" so much that it just doesn't ever use the word "Autobot," while still using the insignia. Something needs to happen to reconcile the notion that Sentinel's security forces used the name with how we learned it was used during Nominus's reign in "Chaos Theory," but they're not incompatible. I do have Prowl in the wrong spot here, though, since as a cop he would be an Autobot under Zeta. Chris McFeely (talk) 13:12, 5 January 2017 (EST)
