Previews?

[edit]

Yeah, previews are kosher so long as someone takes some time to parse them in the context of the full issue once it's released.--Rosicrucian 23:41, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Stub?

[edit]

Does this article still qualify as a stub? Aside from a lack of information on the toy it seems to be a pretty in-depth article. --Detour 00:33, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

His chest

[edit]

This may be a wild guess but could his chest simply be explained as Floro Dery taking liberties, much like he did when he made Red Alert (alt mode kibble location), Skids (head design), the Combaticons, etc.? --Detour 08:05, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Floro Dery was let go by then, according to Floro Dery. --ItsWalky 08:09, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
This has been discussed elsewhere, but I might as well bring it up now, but a lot of the later TFU art looks like Delbo to me. It's impossible to tell, without more material to work from, whether this is because he originated it or because he just copied the animation designs to make the TFU art. Regardless, everything else from that era is strictly toy-based. Floro Dery's tinkering was a distant memory. --ItsWalky 08:13, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Legends Nightbeat

[edit]

Wouldn't it make more sense for Legends Nightbeat to be under Minerva's page? After all, she -is- an alternate universe version of the former. Could be something of a sub-page like Universe Prime/RID2001 Prime. Relena Warcraft (talk) 14:33, 2 October 2020 (EDT)

It's a toy blatantly intended to be "this" Nightbeat, regardless of what the fiction made later does with it. It should be on both if it's not already, but it should NOT be removed from this page. --M Sipher (talk) 16:12, 2 October 2020 (EDT)
Besides, that Minerva adopted the Nightbeat identity. She became the (or at least, "a") Japanese G1 version of Nightbeat. --Sabrblade (talk) 18:49, 2 October 2020 (EDT)

New mainpic?

[edit]
My mind's like an engine, racing out of control; a rocket tearing itself to pieces, trapped on the launchpad…I need a case!

I'm gonna gently throw this out there... I adore the "Jaunty Irish Jig" joke, but is the "Dreamwave funny pose" really the best main pic we could have for Nightbeat? I'd like to talk up the Spotlight: Nightbeat cover we used to have in the IDW subsection in the ring as a possible replacement-

We don't even have to keep the Sherlock quote caption I had given it- but consider it's a clear shot of his primary G1 look, drawn by the iconic Mark (ALL ARE DEAD) Bright, and it even evokes the image of a detective/investigator with his "flashlight" there. Aside from the UK trenchcoat and fedora cover, I'd argue it's one of the most timeless images of Nightbeat.--Nu-Priest (talk) 19:10, 2 October 2020 (EDT)

Anybody got any strong feelings on this? Cuz I kinda wanna do it. Nu-Priest (talk) 14:01, 21 October 2020 (EDT)
