Talk:Optimus Prime (Cyberverse)
The Happy Meal toy is on this page. But, like, the Happy Meal Toy is AUTHENTICS, not Cyberverse. If we're going to put Authentics toys with Cyberverse (and there's an argument for), they need to all go on here, not just the one. --ItsWalky (talk) 00:43, 25 September 2018 (EDT)
- wait a sec, these happy meal toys are bee movie product in the states, aren't they. ...we have a movie windblade now. --ItsWalky (talk) 11:37, 25 September 2018 (EDT)
Is that opening caption a reference to FNAF? I don’t think that reference belongs here. YourBestPal (talk) 18:23, 30 October 2018 (EDT)
That makes no sence. Why the hell would someone associate demented animatronics with a heroic robot? This theme doesnt fit for Optimus, ill wait for other people to weigh in on their feelings about this before I think about changing it. If im correct, only the first caption is actually FNAF related, the others are still oddly dark sounding. Don’t get me wrong; FNAF is an okay game, but it’s fandom is too toxic to be welcome here (not kidding, about a year ago if you googled any of the character’s names you would get furry porn, I’ve been to traumatized to see if that still shows up so quickly). This definitely doesnt fit for Prime. Put your opinions below this post if you want, I say we need to vote on this. YourBestPal (talk) 21:32, 30 October 2018 (EDT)
- If anybody cares, the quotes are from William Afton/Springtrap from the 6th game (also featuring Kellen Goff), except from the cartoon screencap, and the mainpic, which are from a famous fangame and the character's reveal in the 3rd game trailer, respectively. --notirishman (talk) 22:01, 30 October 2018 (EDT)
- That still doesn't really answer what on Earth this has to do with Optimus Prime, though. (For what it's worth, the main quote was originally a reference to this scene from Optimus Prime #19, where Starscream blithely remarks on Optimus - in the "evergreen" body that his Cyberverse counterpart also uses - falling into the black hole and dying... not sure when it was changed.) Grum (talk) 22:25, 30 October 2018 (EDT)
- ...I'm not aware of there being a requirement for the quotes to "have to do" with the subject. They should generally be appropriate but I don't see an overwhelming reason for these to suddenly be demanded to be changed. - TBR (talk) 22:36, 30 October 2018 (EDT)
- I mean... yes? Baron Karza's page is funny because both he and Dark Helmet are low-rent Darth Vader knockoffs. Rom's page is funny because both he and Buzz Lightyear are space heroes who look like action figures. There's nothing that connects Optimus Prime with Five Nights at Freddy's so the quotes are just, well, quotes... and not really even funny quotes on their own, so it's just confusing. I've reverted all the captions back to an earlier time. I was the one who added all the quotes (quite frankly, it may have been a long night for me, heh), and, I personally don't care if they are replaced. You are right, they would be much better fitted somewhere else. --notirishman (talk) 23:00, 30 October 2018 (EDT)
Thank you! FNAF might be a decent series but is completely irrelevant to any transformers. There are a few good people in its fandom, but they usually aren’t as vocal as the cringey ones. I don’t want to attract people who draw porn of Chuck E. Cheese lookin possesses robots to our (not perfect, but) decent fandom. YourBestPal (talk) 11:35, 31 October 2018 (EDT)
- The pearl-clutching is a bit much. Grum (talk) 14:03, 31 October 2018 (EDT)
- I don’t know what that means, I assume your asking me to stop talking about the negativity in the FNAF fandom so I will stop, I realized that kind of talk won’t get us anywhere.YourBestPal (talk) 17:19, 31 October 2018 (EDT)
Ok, who changed the opening caption to a FNAF reference again? This was already decided, it doesn’t belong on this page. It’s not funny, even if Optimus does die and come back a lot, it just feels forced and awkward. YourBestPal (talk) 16:45, 10 January 2019 (EST) Edit: okay, it was Soundsky who did that, but someone needs to change it. YourBestPal (talk) 16:50, 10 January 2019 (EST)
- ... It's not an FNAF reference? Grum (talk) 16:54, 10 January 2019 (EST)
- Yes it is, originally someone made all the captions references to it. The quote, minus the word “Optimus” and using “he” instead was in the trailer for the third game referring to springtrap (if I remember correctly, haven’t been into FNAF in years). This caption was used in its original form as the heading caption before being removed. It makes no sense either because cyberverse prime hasn’t died yet, so it’s just wasted potential for a caption. YourBestPal (talk) 17:00, 10 January 2019 (EST)
- That first caption is a verbatim quote from the IDW comic. Grum (talk) 17:02, 10 January 2019 (EST)
- Thanks for clearing that up, but it still makes no sense with cyberverse Optimus Prime. That’s like using movie starscream quotes for g1 starscream: they are different universes.YourBestPal (talk) 17:05, 10 January 2019 (EST)
- And yet parallels can exist between the two; we draw comparisons between two versions of the same character all the time. You really need to calm down. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:36, 10 January 2019 (EST)

Not to be rude, but that last sentence cyberlink420 said confuses me, I am not aware I showed any signs of being worked up. I am awful with social cues, If I sounded worked up I wasn’t. I was only making a comparison. Sincerely,YourBestPal (talk) 08:19, 11 January 2019 (EST)
Elite class Jetfire reference
[edit]Is it possible that the elite figure's armor being a jet is a reference to ROTF Jetfire or is it just a coincidence? I want to know because I feel like it would be useful.--Metalstar (talk) 12:35, 16 February 2019 (EST)
