DOTM

Is there any reason the Buster/Striker/Jetwing upgrades from DotM aren't listed on this page, or is it just they haven't been covered yet? If it's the latter, which of his upgrades from his trailer would be acceptable for the purposes of this page? Certaingly Jetwing seems appropriate (is it canonically an integrated Jetfire?), but where's the line going to be between that and him simply "pulling a new weapon out"? Buster probably shouldn't count, but would Striker? Does he pull any other weaponsets in the movie/comics?KrytenKoro 11:12, 6 May 2013 (EDT)

Jetwing Prime has nothing to do with Jetfire. It's just a set of stuff Prime carries around in his trailer. I frankly don't think any of those DOTM iterations really constitute a "Super Mode" because there's no integration with the original robot. They're all just Prime holding new weapons or wearing a jetpack. (Striker Prime isn't fictionally different at all; he's just a toy with a shield to let him form his Stealth Force mode he's "supposed" to have anyway.

All that being said, I do think DOTM Ultimate Optimus' merged-with-trailer mode is a "super mode" by our standards. -LV 11:25, 6 May 2013 (EDT)

Okay, so the cutoff is whether equipping the item actually changes his..."form", I guess? That makes sense to me, I agree about Jetwing then (I guess it's just my fanon that they rebuilt his discarded parts into the trailer, instead of just kind of nudging them into the ocean...). FWIW, Unite for the Universe does show us that Prime and NEST originally experimented with making Jetfire's corpse a permanent add-on for Prime, but ended up deciding that more weapons = more problems after Stasrcream stole the Unite process to make himself an upgrade out of a pile of dead Decepticons. -LV 11:42, 7 May 2013 (EDT)
