Talk:Point One Percenter
So where exactly was it stated that Optimus Prime, Scorponok and Shockwave are point one percenters? --Flydie 09:40, 16 August 2013 (EDT)
- MTMTE #17. Brainstorm has discovered a green 'superspark' that marks a POP, and tells Perceptor that they could be looking at the next Optimus Prime or Ultra Magnus. Then he admits that, equally, it could be the next Scorponok or Shockwave. Actually, come to think of it, the current Ultra Magnus is believed at this point to be the original who repeatedly cheated death - does this also confirm the first Ultra Magnus as a point one percenter? --Tarrn 13:53, 17 August 2013 (EDT)
- I don't think enough info has been revealed about the first Ultra Magnus to determine that. --MistaTee 18:26, 17 August 2013 (EDT)
Hey, what about Prowl's list of bots? In MtMtE 14, Prowl names Optimus, Grimlock, Fortress Max, and Megatron as 'once-a-generation' powerful bots, suggesting at least potential one percenters.ZeroSD 06:03, 28 September 2013 (EDT)
- I've added it to the notes --Emvee 06:41, 28 September 2013 (EDT)
"James Roberts later confirmed the characters on Prowl's list of "once-a-generation bots" were Point One Percenters." Having just listened to that interview, his comments seem just vague enough not to warrant such a definitive statement for anyone other than Grimlock. I think, at best, you could say those characters are *very likely* to be POPs (again, not counting Grimlock, who's confirmed as one). The relevant part of the podcast begins around 1:52:30, if anyone wants to give a second opinion. ;--Dubbilex (talk) 04:23, 12 July 2014 (EDT)
- I did the interview. James confirms it during the interview (I can hunt the exact moment if you want) and off recording. --Eire (talk) 14.36 12 July 2014 (GMT)
- It still comes down to Author intent at this point, though, doesn't it? --Xaaron (talk) 11:30, 12 July 2014 (EDT)
I wonder if Sentinel Prime and his Apex armor means he's a load-bearer... ZeroSD (talk) 05:51, 17 February 2015 (EST)
Does a spark need to start as a natural-born POP to count, or would a transformer who altered his spark via experimentation also be relevant? In other words, does Thunderwing/the Matrix of Malice/Thunder Mayhem belong anywhere on this page? --Nemesis Primal (talk) 21:13, 3 April 2017 (EDT)
Should we include the various Thirteen Primes as 'maybes'? Or the Twins? We do have Killmaster due to his Warrior Elite status.ZeroSD (talk) 03:26, 22 October 2018 (EDT)
