Talk:Powerdasher
I have a faint memory of coming across some material in my youth that called the Powerdasher jet "Orion." Does anyone know what I might be thinking of? Or is my brain just playing its silly ol' pranks on me again? - Jackpot 03:48, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Official designations
[edit]This scan from the G1 laserdisc booklet gives the designations "Jet Type", Race Car Type", and "Drill Tank Type". Does anybody care? —Interrobang 20:04, 5 January 2011 (EST)
1984 or 1985?
[edit]Our notes section here says these guys toys were released in 1984, but our G1 US Toyline page lists them as first released in 1985 instead. Anyone got the scoop on which is right? --ZacWilliam 13:01, 20 April 2013 (EDT)
- Well, apparently the first flyer from which they were available is copyright dated 1984, but too much probably shouldn't be read into that. All references on here to the Omnibots, released in that same flyer, agree on a 1985 release date, so I'd be tempted to say that's probably the correct date for these guys too. Zetar
[edit]Okay, so in the Facebook commentary with Roberts for MTMTE #16 he mentions that "we’d seen Zetar in issue #9 (in an advert for bodygloving)". Is this a legit enough source to take Zetar as an official name too? Jalaguy 09:08, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
- Anyone? I kinda lean towards creating a page for him with the name. We've used Author commentary to establish names of characters before yes? I'm thinking those gun assasigns from back in WWI.--ZacWilliam 14:03, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
- I'd say the use of Cromar alone is enough precendent for go for separate pages with the nickname template and a few quote marks around their names. -- Chris McFeely 14:41, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
- I'm all for that. I got pics of all three... just haven't processed the Drill and Car ones yet. --M Sipher 17:44, 28 April 2013 (EDT)

Question of sapience
[edit]That part of the intro paragraph has been there a long time, but is there any reason to question their level of Transformer sapience? They sound like full-fledged Autobots in their instruction sheet. Friendly, cheerful, and obedient. - Starfield 22:40, 4 May 2013 (EDT)
- Seems to be extrapolated from the Dreamwave profile, which calls them "primitive" and "still maturing into their full power levels and personalities," while being characterized mostly as little helpers for the "real" Autobots. --ItsWalky 23:07, 4 May 2013 (EDT)
