Talk:Primitive

Okay, I think this page is all kinds of wrong. And the Category made to go with it, too. No one who is not identified as a Primitive in "Call of the Primitives" should be referred to as one. Applying the term across the board to everyone with robotic beast modes is fine for fanon, but not for this wiki. --KilMichaelMcC 11:55, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

We especially shouldn't be applying a G1-specific term to other continuities. No one in the Beast Era or Unicron Trilogy is a Primitive. - Dark T Zeratul 12:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
And now we have to fix all of the articles he's added this category to. I believe this user also seems to logoff and go into anom mode so they can ignore their regular account talk page. --FFN 12:01, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Category Plus List?

[edit]

I suppose this is a question that comes up a lot, but do we need both a Primitve category, and a list of Primitives on this page. It strikes me as just being trouble to keep the two in synch. Could we do away with the list, and just include the link to the category? JW 19:08, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Other primatives?

[edit]

From the assistant's story, it seems clear that Unicron and Tornedron are primitives. And the cast notes identify the assistant himself as one. - Starfield 11:09, 17 August 2009 (EDT)

I don't think that's clear at all. It assumes that everything Primacron ever built can be called a "primitive," and I see no reason to assume that. --KilMichaelMcC 11:38, 17 August 2009 (EDT)
"...Primacron built some of the primitives...his creatures were bigger and bigger and finally, he created the monstrous Unicron." Unicron is also described as a "beast of matter." It seems natural to conclude Unicron was also a primitive, but I admit it is not explicit. - Starfield 11:47, 17 August 2009 (EDT)
