Original name/Current Name Origin

[edit]

In the credits of TFTM the Quintesson Prosecutor present is referred to as the Quintesson Leader. I've added this to the notes section both for completeness and because the movie credits article links here using that name, so it felt like explaination was warranted. Out of curiosity, do we know where the term Prosecutor originated? Was it in the script(s) or was it added by later fiction. --Mattihase (talk) 18:59, 1 October 2024 (EDT)

A note which used to be on the Quintesson page says the names are from the character models as seen in Transformers: The Ark. --abates (talk) 22:09, 1 October 2024 (EDT)
Ah, yes. It's not a book I have to hand but the OG page seems to have showed up on a quick google image scroll. I'll add that to the page. --Mattihase (talk) 17:42, 3 October 2024 (EDT)
Note - having reviewed the scripts, the character's also referred to as Quintesson Leader, or Lead Quintesson, so I've added that to the article too --Mattihase (talk) 19:33, 3 October 2024 (EDT)
Alright. I've added as much information as I was able to find out about the Prosecutor's history of varied names up through Forever Is a Long Time Coming. I may add more if I find anything else in Season 3. I've heard back from Jim Sorenson that they definitely didn't come up with the name for The Ark. As I couldn't find precedent for citing emails, I figured it was best to simply leave the story as told by public information, basically all there, and leave this on the Talk page for posterity. --Mattihase (talk) 09:00, 4 October 2024 (EDT)

Am new here, just joined to correct something. 'Prosecutor' certainly wasn't documented first in 2004, my cousin who has the video on tape albeit 2 tapes, the latter split but he was able to tape it back, he also had the Ladybird book for the film, where the character is called prosecutor. Sidenote, that book was nearly fully accurate to the movie except the Devastator fight, the book said several shots were fired from Optimus' relief forces, absolutely nothing about the short Dinobot battle, glaring inaccuracy (Maybe other smaller ones but I haven't read it for 30yrs abouts)... (Thanks to this site however I read up about unused extended autobot city siege scenes, perhaps that book was some way referring to unused scenes?) Watched the movie for the first time since the 90s, far superior to Bayformers!
