Talk:Raiders of the Last Ark
Error? What Error?
[edit]In the text of this article, it's noted that there's an apparent contradiction between this story and "The Transformers" (issue 1). In 'Raiders', it's Auntie's idea to crash the ship, but in Issue 1, the ship-crashing thing is a back-up plan that was put into place by Prime before the Ark even took off.
But surely both can be true?
Prime puts the crash-land button on the ship as a plan B (or possibly plan Z) in case things went wrong. Then, after the Decepticons attack, Auntie advises Prime to press the button, a suggestion based on probabilities and calulations and whatnot.
After receiving this advice, Prime then weighs up all the options himself, and decides to go with Auntie's reccommendation.
This scenario fits with both tellings of the story; ergo it's not necessarity a mistake. QED. --Ryan Frost 17:25, 11 July 2012 (EDT)

[edit]And another thing - How do we know that Thundercracker is in this story? Presumably he's a part of the Decepticon forces but only Skywarp and Starscream feature in the colour sections.
Although it's true that one of the Seekers we see in the black-and-white pages may be Thundercracker, it's hardly definitive.
Furthermore, we have an appearance of Thrust in this issue. Yes, Thrust!
Look at the flashback sequences near the start of Part Three - there's a seeker jet shown that definitely has Thrust's distinctive VTOL jets on the wings. --Ryan Frost 16:45, 12 July 2012 (EDT)
- There's a lot of ambiguity about some of the artwork and colours for a lot of TFs though some fans seem bolder in declaring who is who. That looks a bit like Thundercracker on the first cover as there's some blue clearly present but it just shows how tricky this can be. Timrollpickering (talk) 04:40, 4 May 2014 (EDT)
