Altmode

Because nothing drives me crazy like shoehorning real-world makes onto made-up TF vehicle modes, let me put down in text here that I know the Quasar only lines up so well - but paperwork from the production of Rapido (specifically, early samples of his bio/card art) labels him as "Peugeot". -LV 14:11, 7 December 2010 (EST)

Worth mentioning?

I'm unsure if i'm missing a stage in his transformation but is it worth mentioning that Rapido can barely see over his own car hood chest? Seem's moderately humourous for a rank of 10.

Also, he might be a Peugeot, but I think there's a very small resemblance to a Lancia Stratos in him as well. --Durge 14:41, 24 January 2011 (EST)

The Hood bit is mentioned well enough. What is missing though is someone turning the car window around on his back. It's mistransformed on TFU as well. It's on a swivel and the flat bit should be behind his head. At least he can look backwards that way. --Argus (talk) 09:36, 19 December 2024 (EST)

The US instructions do not call out spinning the window section around at all; there's one panel at the end with it spun around, not called out. (I don't know if I still have the European instructions, and web searches have not been fruitful.) But the following sticker-placement panel on the same sheet shows the windows in car-mode position, as does his UK release art, while the US art is vague on that. The official product photography shows it un-moved. Maybe it was designed to be, but pretty overwhelmingly it's depicted as not moving in robot mode, so like, that's more a curiosity note than an Everyone Has It Wrong. --M Sipher (talk) 16:26, 19 December 2024 (EST)

Rapido (disambiguation)

i'm pretty sure that "Rapido" was G1 Cliffjumper's name in Spanish or French or Italian or something, and i think there was at least one other G1 Minibot who was named "Rapido" in non-English-speaking markets. Does anyone know who the other Rapido is? Should there be a disambiguation page for these guys? Most importantly, using the example of Rapido (G2) and Rapido (Cliffjumper) and Rapido (_____), how do i search TFWiki for the third Rapido? http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Special:Search?search=Rapido redirects to http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Rapido with no mention of Cliffjumper or the other guy(s). Using google's site: operator to limit results to tfwiki, I found, on about the 4th or 5th page of search results that Windcharger also had Rapido listed as a French foreign name. Oddly, both he and Cliffjumper list the name as originating from Canada, though Cliffy has another name listed as well. Racemaster

That could probably stand to be more clear on this page, then. I don't actually see it noted anywhere, and absent that information there's nothing really suggesting they're the same; as far as I can tell, every section exclusively calls him either Rapido or Racemaster without drawing any equivalence between them. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 15:34, 11 January 2025 (EST)
