"Floro Dery's not the most sensitive of people"

Are we sure the name isn't derived from "rapire" or "rapine"? Or even the older definitions of "rape", as in "rape of the lock"? Rapire means "to kidnap or abduct", rapine means "forceful seizure of property" or "to plunder or pillage". Rape itself has the older meanings of "an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse" "the act of seizing and carrying off by force", "to plunder (a place); despoil" or "to seize, take, or carry off by force." Rape meaning sexual assault is not necessarily the intended meaning here. --Khajidha 14:38, 16 September 2013 (EDT)

I'm not exactly Mr Take-Offense, but I'm pretty sure "using the word 'rape' in the name of a Transformer for any reason at all" is reasonably considered "not sensitive". -LV 14:44, 16 September 2013 (EDT)

I guess I'm willing to give him a little more slack based on the rather poor grammar shown in his posts linked from his page. It wouldn't be the first time a non-native English speaker used words that made us all go "What the hell?
