Talk:Red Alert (Armada)

Accent

[edit]

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but to me, his accent sounds distinctly more Cockney than Liverpudlian. Kit 13:46, 20 August 2009 (EDT)

He actually sounds New Zealandish to me --Fortress Minimus 08:57, 11 July 2010 (EDT)
I'm going to edit that, because I've been watching Cybertron lately, and whatever his accent is, it's certainly not Liverpudlian/Scouse. It seems to be in a few places on this wiki, but it's not correct. (I agree with Minimus, it sounds more Antipodean. Actually, he sounds more realistically Australian than Jetfire does, that's for sure.) --MissRatbat 10:10, 30 October 2010 (EDT)

Incomplete sentence needs fix

[edit]

In the Cybertron Defense Red Alert write-up:

He now transforms into a cross between a Russian R-400 Oka mobile ballistic missile launcher.

A cross between that and a what now? I'd fix it myself, but I'm not sure how. I'll let this notice sit for a week or two, and if no one fixes it, I'll just change it to say it looks similar to the Russian missle launcher.

While it has been fixed (albeit not by me), it's still pretty weird that he transforms into what looks like a Russian vehicle when he's in America.MaximalChill 16:35, 4 December 2017 (EST)

Ratchet

[edit]

Something that's been on my mind for years now is whether this guy counts as a Ratchet or not, given his function as an Autobot medic and his name in Japan.--BlackStarscream 17:57, 27 June 2012 (EDT)

Cybertron first body's resemblance to a G1 Autobot

[edit]

Should it be mentioned in the notes that somewhat through the headsculpt and maybe vehicular mode Cybertron Red Alert his first body that is bares a resemblance to G1 Autobot Scorch? 6Rocket-Jet0 (talk) 21:37, 4 April 2022 (EDT)

No. Stuff coincidentally dimly resembles other stuff all the time, especially after several thousand designs. --M Sipher (talk) 23:13, 4 April 2022 (EDT)

Metal Heroes

[edit]

Given the general reference to tokusatsu in the designer quote rather than just power rangers specifcally (and the fact that metal heroes usually look a lot like robocop, is it worth mentioning the resemblance to the Metal Heroes series's characters with his head? It might just be confirmation bias on my end, thoughTitanic Monarch (talk) 13:11, 9 October 2024 (EDT)

Red Alert is Primas descendant?

[edit]

So Mark's design notes: (https://news.tfw2005.com/2024/12/09/age-of-the-primes-voyager-prima-behind-the-scenes-528220) mention this, and I feel like that could maybe prove a problem as this line goes on (since that's a selling point): do we apply the prime insignia to each pg of characters mentioned like this? Or do we just ignore it?Poliwag06 (talk) 20:28, 9 December 2024 (EST)

We note it in Notes and otherwise ignore it. --M Sipher (talk) 20:56, 9 December 2024 (EST)
