Talk:Rescue Force

I really don't think we should be moving the individual character pages to those new "names". We should undeniably note them, but... I think moving the pages there results in a kind of ridiculousness that is neither funny nor informative. --M Sipher 15:05, 22 June 2011 (EDT)

They're terrible names. But they're the only official names we have. --FortMax 15:19, 22 June 2011 (EDT)
Official names or disambiguations have always been given priority over whatever we can come up with. See Dinobot II, Prowl II, Galvatron II, etc. And frankly, it's not as if we lose much from not using "Rescue Force tank". —Interrobang 15:39, 22 June 2011 (EDT)

Retouched Card Art

[edit]

So, uh, every article says the card art is retouched from the Japanese originals... But that's not the case. Two have totally different art on their boxes. The Rescue Force art is pretty obviously retouched from something from the original versions given the leftover beast chest plates, clumsily added weapons, and leftover Decepticon symbols... but what? Art for scrapped US releases? Early Japanese promo art? Do we have anything on it? --MCRG (talk) 13:22, 10 May 2017 (EDT)

Names

[edit]

Asides from the fact that their sticker book names are, obviously, very funny, is there a reason we don't "count" that at least two leaflets gave the Rescue Force the same individual names as the Breastforce guys they were retooled from? See here and here (found in this thread). Jalaguy (talk) 17:01, 17 May 2021 (EDT)

Ignore me, false alarm – Discord has confirmed the scans were labelled digitally, the originals don't have the names. Jalaguy (talk) 17:17, 17 May 2021 (EDT)
