Welp that wasn't the roadbuster if the preview for Sins of the Wrecker #4 is to go by....--Projectus (talk) 01:14, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
- We'll make the appropriate edits once the full issue is released. --Nu-Priest (talk) 12:33, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
- It was still speculative and shouldn't have been added in the first place. Saix (talk) 12:48, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
- It was absolutely not speculative. before that issue came out, Roberts actively tweeted that the issue would feature "a specific link to LSOTW #1 (...) a *tiny* loose end that's taken nearly six years to tie up." The term "terrible affair" wasn't used coincidentally; it was deliberately referencing the Roadbuster Affair. Matter of fact, in this preview, Tarantulas doesn't even specifically state that this "dead cadets" business is the Affair - he just lists it as one of the things Impetus has pulled out, and we know from last issue that the computer has yielded more than just the three things he lists. We don't even know if Roadbuster is part of the Wreckers when this flashback takes place. - Chris McFeely (talk) 12:51, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
- Why would Tarantulas's list not be connected to what they're babbling about right before? Springer is talking about Pova, Arcee is talking about violence, but plainly saying "the whole Roadbuster Affair" isn't connected because...? The entire conversation is about Roadbuster's flashback and throwing in a reference to an unrelated event is a non sequitur. Saix (talk) 13:16, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
- I agree. Within the context of this issue alone, it's an obvious thing. But we have another comic, by the other of the two writers who wrote the original scene that mentions the affair, saying something contradictory - and that comic presents a scenario that can easily be imagined as being spun to be one of the great moments in Wreckers history the affair is supposed to be ('bots v 'cons) compared to this ('bot goes insane, sacrifices own men to robot satan). We'll need to ask Roberts and Roche, but we'll also need to wait until the issue is out and see if there's anything more in there. - Chris McFeely (talk) 13:27, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
