Are the rubsigns "holographic" like it says here? Heat-sensitive, yes, but I wouldn't call them holographic (though it'd be kinda neat). Also, anyone with a good chemistry-major sorta idea of how exactly they work to fill that in? ZacWilliam 14:08, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Not a chemist, but I did dig up a rough outline. -Autobus Prime 19:39, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Am I the only person for whom these NEVER worked?
I think that means you don't have a soul.

Should there be a list of examples of Rubsigns being used in-universe? Such as the mini spies, as well as Smokesrcreen and Soundwave's appearances with them (In DW G1 volume 2, and IDW Megatron Origins respectively.)Tindalos 12:21, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

I recall some of the Autobots molesting the Mini Spies to see who they were in a commercial --FFN 13:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't remember, but wasn't the point of the rubsigns on the minispies that you really didn't know their alligence until you rubbed it? The toy mold itself could belong to either side.Riddlerj 10:34, 27 October 2010 (EDT)
You are correct, sir. From the Mini-spy page - "There were four different Mini-spy molds, known by the unofficial names 4WD Type (or Jeep Type), Buggy Type, FX-1 Type, and Porsche Type. Each was available in blue, white or yellow decos and as either an Autobot or Decepticon, making for a total of 24 different Mini-spy combinations." --Khajidha 11:07, 27 October 2010 (EDT)

Reveal the Shield

[edit]

My Reveal the Shield figures' rubsign's were losed its function. Now their signs are visible without putting the finger on it. Should it be mentioned here in the article?-- Primestar3 (talk) 22:20, 16 August 2015 (EDT)
