• I dunno. The BWII Insectrons were a faction of deserters who didn't name themselves "Insectrons" until they took on insect modes. I think "Insectrons" refers to just their little group and not all insect robots in general. Kinda like how Powerglide isn't an Aerialbot just because he's a jet.
