Okay, I know I'm hardly an expert, but come on... is it so hard to believe that BW Scorponok can be named Scorponok and have a scorpion alt-mode before the Beast Wars? Maybe he named himself after the ol' Headmaster, or based his alt-mode on that ferocious form. I mean, Megatron called himself Megatron, didn't he? Same idea.

I'm not sure there's anything in the article that suggests his name being Scorponok pre-BW IS so hard to believe. So colored me confused. --ItsWalky 01:16, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, there's the picture caption of his exclusive comic iteration. It says 'Look at him... he was probably called Scorponok before the Beast Wars' or something, which to the casual reader (and I know there are only a few of those) would appear to be serious criticism. Plus I know you yourself had a separate figure painted up to look more like a pre-BW Scorpy (awesome, by the by), and I just figured there was some kind of perceived problem with it. Um, by the way, Walkyguy, since I'm new and useless... how do I identify myself on talk pages?

I think it's a reference to the fact that in that particular comic, most of the BW cast seems to take their BW names only after getting their beastly alt modes. - Dark T Zeratul 07:50, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Transformation

I think it's unfair to say this Scorponok has the same transformation as all the others. There's a significant difference here.. the legs fold out from the body, and are nice and long and slender and jointed.. the scorpion body then folds in half, with the legs being attached as 'ribs' instead of on the legs boringly. The only similar part is how the tail and claws don't go anywhere...

Scorponok wasn't all that dumb. And he certainly was never outwitted by Waspinator.

Scorponok wasn't so much dumb as absent minded and incompetant, he always neglected something in his plans which would come back to haunt him. Basically, everyone assumes he's dumb because he is loyal, but isn't this more to do with his utmost belief in Megatron's cause and that Megatron is the best to restore glory to the Predacon race, like Soundwave and Lugnut, or that he desperately needs his 2nd in command role due to his low self-esteem and would rather not be leader and face attempted destruction from Tarantulas and Terrorsaur (and how the hell would he get Megs out of the way 1st?- playing loyal and accepting the "safe" 2nd in command role seems smarter than constantly trying to take on Megatron even though you'll never be good enough as Terrorsaur did.

Main Pic SUCKS

Thank you for the info. I think I got it figured out. I don't have a scanner nor have I ever heard of one. And sorry about the name, I thought it looked wierd when it carried on to the next line. I'll go shorten it in a sec.

No it's not broken, that's how a scanned picture looks like at its best. it looks a bit faded because a scan can never look as good as an image made from a computer. now, will you please stop complaining about it?--Grand-majin 20:04, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Faction Factual

The missiles are meant to have Maxie symbols on them - it's a "Bullet with your name on it" gag that a lot of people seemingly didn't get. - SanityOrMadness 14:48, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Variant?
