What do you mean Japanese custom? Doesn't everyone take their shoes off when indoors? 87.100.176.125 22:48, 1 September 2011 (EDT)

- That's not just a Japanese custom. It's pretty common to take your shoes off when you enter a person's home here, and I live in the far off mystical land of Canada. -- Semysane 17:37, 2 September 2011 (EDT)
- Yes, but you wouldn't take offense and bellow it at someone as if it was the greatest insult they could level at you the way Deathsaurus does here. It's a sometime-courtesy in the west depending on how clean you want your carpet; it's a national, deeply-ingrained cultural custom in Japan. - Chris McFeely 18:29, 2 September 2011 (EDT)
