Talk:Sideswipe (Movie)
It needs to be added that Sideswipe has a legends toy. I am in posession of it right now. Cheers! -74.170.18.35 09:16, 30 May 2009 (EDT)Proconix
New here. Just wondering why there's a "Not yet released sign at Sideswipe's FAB section. I know i have already seen it on sale for a while -Treadshot A1
Caption Change Request
[edit]I'd like to change the caption of the Legends Sideswipe toy to "Whoa! I never even knew I had these driving claws!" because Sideswipe's heels can be unfolded in vehicle mode to resemble the driving claws that Armada Hot Shot had. I don't have the deluxe version so I don't know if that one can do it too. 84.69.143.180 07:51, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
- No. Captions are an award for contributing. Information first, then the humour. Metal Gear NOIZE 08:59, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
- Well, that's what makes it a Caption Change REQUEST. If enough of us think his caption's funnier (and I like it, but I'm biased), then it could be changed. --ItsWalky 09:07, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
- I'm not exactly sold, given that the one we have now is pretty good. ---Blackout- 12:27, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
- Okay. Movie Swerve has yet to have a pic for his Legends toy so maybe when he does, the caption could be used there instead. 84.69.143.180 11:18, 15 September 2009 (EDT)
- You mean IF he does.---Blackout- 11:36, 15 September 2009 (EDT)

Zoolander reference?
[edit]I noticed that Hasbro said in the March 2010 Q&A answers for the Allspark that the Legends class Bluesteel Sideswipe is a "reference to one the team's favorite comedies." Now, there are two movies with the title "Blue Steel", but those could only be called comedies if you were viciously critical. However, "Blue Steel" also crops up as a fairly prominent term in Zoolander, so that's most likely the movie to which they're referring. Anyone else feel this is worth a mention in the trivia section? -- Ayellowbirds 20:16, 30 April 2010 (EDT)
Human Alliance Arms
[edit]Have been looking at the pegs on the arms and I don't think they're anything to do the human partner figure, in alt mode there's very little clearance between the ground and car. I think the pegs are there just to stop the arms and lower torso scraping the ground. Iyato 19:01, 12 March 2011 (EST)
Light piping
[edit]My Sidearm Sideswipe has red light-plastic in the back of his head, but he has blue eyes. When held up to a damn powerful light source, however, they glow red. In his stock photography, however, he has one blue and one red eye. Should this info be added to the page?
Sidearm feet
[edit]Should it be mentioned that for some reason the feet on Sidearms Sideswipe are extremely movie-accurate if you turn them around and tuck in the now frontal toe bit underneath (using the one now at the back to help support him)? It makes me wonder why the instructions and stock photos (ok the photos for most TF's are nearly always mistransformed anyways) have the feet the 'wrong' way. 86.31.251.98 09:42, 29 October 2010 (EDT)
toys
[edit]should his toys section be moved to a new page or just be kept there?Rxlthunder 10:17, 5 March 2011 (EST)
- There's plenty of pages more in need of splitting than this one. Check out Special:Longpages. --Khajidha 10:20, 5 March 2011 (EST)
Why is this even here?
[edit]Why isn't this part of "Sideswipe (ROTF)"? Or, more accurately, why isn't all of that here? Exactly what makes this nullity different from the ROTF Sideswipe? Should we merge them? --Khajidha 15:44, 22 October 2010 (EDT)
- I would say this is separate from ROTF Sideswipe because this guy is specifically a movie-fication of a G1 character for a video game, and the ROTF guy is a different, made-up new guy for the movie who just had the same name slapped on him. --KilMichaelMcC 17:12, 22 October 2010 (EDT)
- Eh, I say if the 3D Battle Card Swerve and the ROTF Sideswipe retool Swerve can be considered one and the same... Why not this Sideswipe and ROTF Sideswipe? --Detour 18:10, 22 October 2010 (EDT)
- Minimize therbligs. There doesn't seem to be any details here that preclude them being the same, so I'd say they are the same. --Khajidha 09:49, 23 October 2010 (EDT)
- Yeah, I'm in favor of taking single-sentence characters within the same continuity family and merging them unless there's evidence they are NOT the same. Didn't ROTF Sideswipe get redone into this colorscheme at some point? --Thylacine 2000 11:05, 23 October 2010 (EDT)
- Swerve (Movie). —Interrobang 11:11, 23 October 2010 (EDT)
- The robot mode looks too similar (except for the wheelfeet) to ROTF Sideswipe to be ignored. I'm in favor of merging the two articles or at least pointing that out in ROTF Sideswipe article- ACIDSTORM92 00:47, 27 October 2010 (EDT).

DOTM Deluxe Stealth Force?
[edit]Sideswipe's DOTM Deluxe figure seems to have an undocumented feature. While in alt-mode, you can pull out his arms, have them face the front and kind-of fit tabs sticking out of tabs jutting out from his arms into aligned/matching posts under his alt-mode hood. Kind-of since my figure's tabs don't exactly peg-in securely. In any case, the swords on his arms can now be rotated to the front of the alt-mode. Does this count as an unmentioned Stealth-Mode like deluxe Bumblebee's hood cannons? 175.137.115.140 13:59, 11 July 2011 (EDT)
Paint
[edit]Are we going to mention that the image on the cardback of the DOTM deluxe shows him in a good silver paintjob like his previous deluxes but the toy itself is unpainted? Durge 20:13, 6 August 2011 (EDT)
- He is not painted, but airbrushed like all other cardback photography. --ItsWalky 22:40, 6 August 2011 (EDT)
